I like shooting the g26 and shoot it well for a sub compact, but i hate carrying it, compared to a 43 or 42. Mine has become a permanent bug out bag gun that lives in my jeep backpack with all my other overnight gear.

The only people dumping Glock are people who are now medical marijuana users. You would have to be high to dump Glock.

My interest is CCW. I was interested and shot a box through one to "test drive".

Pros: slimmer than 26, shoots 9mm, grip is not fatboy like G26, its a glock rock.

Cons: Not that thin, compared to my .380 G42, 7 rounds max Vs 11 max on G26, track record on G26 is proven. Would have to buy new mags, new holster, Mags not interchangeable with G17, G19, not on roster have to pay some LEO or other such protected species sur charge, too much money for one here in wonderful cali-unicornia. If you can conceal a G26 you can conceal a G43.

Would I buy one... yep in a free state, just cuz .

G43,43x and 48 are very useful guns. I bought a couple thinking I would carry them off duty. They do get carried occasionally and they perform well at the range. ZERO malfunctions and accurate out to 25 yards. I like them a lot. Especially G48. Saying all that , I find myself carrying a G19 99% of the time.

If I carry my G19 or G26 my back starts to hurt. I have a old lower back injury and my back can tell the difference. I bought a G43 when they first came out and love carrying it. No issues with my back.

Just for yucks I bought a 43X a few weeks ago. So far no back issues and absolutely love how it carries and how it shoots.

I do notice that it's just a wee bit heavier, but no issues.

                I always carry IWB...

So far I have about 300 rounds into the 43X. Standard ball, Tula, as well as various HP including some Winchester 127 grain +P+. No malfunctions except a few failure to lock the slide on a empty mag with the Tula.

Just love it. I'm also more accurate with it than my G43.

My wife likes the 43 to carry with her in her purse, so it's not wasted.

I know +10 round mags are illegal in Ca, but I'm waiting to see how the Shield Arms 15 round mags work for the 43X.

I like the G43 and carry it frequently. It is great on the hottest of days or when I need extra discrete carry.

I have mags with Vickers and Shield Arms +2 baseplates. That gets me back to around a 43x length grip, but the nice thing is I can also run the flush factory 6 round mag or a shaved +1 Pearce baseplate - I get to choose the length of grip depending on how I want to carry the gun or how discreet I need to be.

I could have a 43X but the G43 gives me the option for a smaller package if I need it. Since I can only have 3 guns on my permit, it is nice to have a gun that can get smaller when I need it to.
