    S&W Model 19

I'm something of a S&W junkie and pretty much any time I stumble across a decent deal on a Smith revolver I'll pick it up. I ran into this Model 19 the other day and I couldn't help myself and brought it home with me. I already have a early Model 19, but it is still NIB and as such I am reluctant to shoot it and it remains as a total safe queen. This one is nearly perfect, but it does have a minor scratch on the right side, so I have no problem taking it out and shooting the snot out of it.

I have S&W .357's in K, L and N frames and I just haven't been able to make up my mind if I prefer one size over the others. While the recoil is a bit more stout in the lighter K frames, IMO they balance a bit better than the larger guns. The trade off is the heavier guns handle the recoil better and are easier to shoot more rounds through at any one time.

    Very nice!
One of my favorite firearms, I wouldn’t pass up on an opportunity to snag duplicates - your safe queen is a beauty! I have the same stocks on mine (of course mine had plenty of holster wear before I got it).

Very nice. For me nothing balances and fits my hand better than a K frame. Congrats on a nice find.

Those are handsome looking guns you got there. I bet the trigger on the "new" 19 is smooth as butter.

              Very nice find.

I'm so ashamed to say that I only have 1 Model 19-3.

I'll have to visit more gun shops and see what I can find.
              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Recently, been researching and learning more about revolvers. I'm actually going to DRO's my first revolver today. Found a used 1980 model 36

Yep, it has the most amazing double action pull I have ever felt, nicer even than that on my my M27-2 or my no dash M29. Once I felt the trigger, I just had to have it. I got it for what I felt was a reasonable price too, which makes it even better.

I find revolvers to be highly addicting, so far I have managed the hoard collect a couple dozen.

Yeah, I think the K frames have the best triggers. I got an old well used 1960s M10-3. The trigger is superb. Even with a worn finish that S&W bluing is really beautiful. Nothing like it IMHO.

Man... I have a real soft spot for magnas on a K frame. Beautiful!

Ditto. My Model 15, which I stole for $250, is, as they say, like butter.

My first duty weapon was a 4” model 19. In my wayward youth when we transitioned to auto pistols they offered for us to keep our model 19’s for a $150 payroll deduction. I was obviously too cool to take this deal and have hated myself over it ever since.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.
