Most say the cw9 is not a range gun and yet I can shoot it all day, and accurately. Same as my LCR 327

I like my Shield after putting an Apex sear in it. The stock trigger is heavy with a lot of over-travel.

I think that's the biggest factor. Also there was the rebate a couple years back. While the majority of CA counties issue, the counties where the majority of people live do not. So people buy the gun, shoot it, realize it's not as fun as a full size range toy and decide to sell. I'm buying a used Shield from the marketplace tonight actually. Selling my CW9.

For me, it's the opposite. Guns that don't get carried won't get shot during my very limited time at the range. It's fun to shoot my 1911, but the fact of the matter is, I'm not carrying it and it's not worth shooting at the moment.

I bought a Shield recently because it is a little smaller than my G26 to add to my carry rotation. I actually like shooting it better than the Glock. I think its the angle of the grip plus the stock 3 dot sites are much better.
I don't shoot competition and my range practice is for self defense skills, all out accuracy is not as important as long as I can reasonably shoot acceptable groups.

I like my Shield. I shoot it every time I make it to the range. I have 2 of them. I plan on doing some upgrade's to one of them but have not decided on parts or had the time to look into all the options. Seems an apex is in the near future from posts above. I bought them when they had the $75 rebate.

Same here. I wasn't even in the market for one but I found it on sale for $299 plus the $75 rebate. Couldn't pass it up for $225.

I think it's a solid gun for the price. I wish I could add aftermarket internal parts but Sheriff says that's a no-no. I do have the TLR-6 light/laser and talon grips on it.

Shields are great, I think many people are selling due to SCM purchases during freedom week opening up more options, that hyve mag extension is absolutely hideous.

Love mine. SSE'd a Non CA one years ago. Been 100% reliable and the trigger wasn't that bad at all-- But I did finally install the Apex upgrade and it's nice.

Now all I need is to be able to conceal carry it. If I ever could I'd probably replace the sites. I even have a perfect IWB holster that makes it disappear on me under a T shirt.

If I ever am able to conceal carry I'd probably use it as my #1.-- and I do own a P365-- but the Shield disappears on me just as much as the P365.

Rarely hear of people having any issues with their Shields.

I love my Shield. Did the Apex trigger and XS big dots.

I think there are a lot for sale for the sheer fact that there are a lot of them out there.

I had one and enjoyed it. I moved onto a Glock 43 that I bought off a friend.

original poster, are you trying to create a market to buy one? gotta ask.. it's a good strategy.

i suck shooting the shield past 7 yards....

wonder if the apex trigger would help.

also when turners had that big sale on the 8 rd magazines, i picked up 8 mags.

now i just need to go buy the +2 extensions (thinking magguts) so i can up the mags to 10 rounds. just have to get over the fact that 2 extensions would cost more than all the magazines i have bought for the shield... and i have to buy 10 of them.... (also have 7 rounders that i want to expand)

Shield is just a typical striker fire pistol. I can easily put rounds through a 3-in target from ten yards. I sold it for a Kahr PM9.
