    Shield 9mm

I guess people are over with it.
Many in the for sale section for good price.

Wonder what people are moving to

As for me despite polishing the internals to
get better trigger and upgraded sights.
Still can't shoot it any better than my kahr

I'll shoot them side by side to do a comparison
    Then decide what to do

I'm just fine with mine, good enough trigger for a defensive weapon, compact and reliable. I have an M&Pc and like that too.

I thought the Shield was a decent little shooter. At least it felt good. But, for serious work on a target, it comes up lacking (for me). So, it was sold in favor of a XD9. Granted, it was the 4" Service Model, but that is way more rewarding. Much better trigger out of the box. Easier to manage. Compared with the Shield's 7 or 8 round mags vs the 10 round restricted CA mags and the 2 16 round Freedom MAGAzines I got are VERY reassuring. Besides, keeping the same platform and trigger as my XD 45 (4x13 round MAGAzines). For me, the proof is always in the target.

I like it better than my Glock 26

        Upgraded sights to Tru Glo

        Mag extensions

i love mine, I shoot it almost as well as a full size within reason. I did eventually upgrade the trigger, sights and put a talongrip on it.

I shoot my Taurus like complete garbage and it;s the same size, to each his own.

Great little gun. I enjoy its ease of concealment and I am fairly accurate with it. Would not be my first choice to carry if I can conceal something bigger. But good to have as an option to carry.

I love mine, but only after I did an Apex Trigger on it. I did not like it before the Apex Trigger was installed

I like the way the Shield shoots alot. Esp with Apex parts. Don't love the oval grip (strange as the other m&p grips are perfect)

                I vastly prefer the G43, G43X, G48 or P365.

How many of these were bought by people who don't have or can not get an LTC? For a summer carry gun I think it fills that role fine. Not the best range gun I've got, but that's not why I got mine. One day I'll get around to upgrading the sight's.

I was very impressed by my Shield, I like it better than my Glock 43, and I'm a Glock guy. I'm guessing you're seeing a lot in the for sale section because there's so many out there. Remember the S&W $75 rebate? I bet they sold a metric crap ton during that offering.

I think a lot of people bought them for ccw and either never got the license, let it lapse or didn’t carry. Great gun if that’s your purpose.

It’s one of only a few on-roster options.

I tried it but preferred the Kahr CW9 instead.

The Shield 9 is a good pistol but the 45 is a great pistol. What's the reason it's not on the Ca roster?

                              I would have to agree.

I love my .45 shield and it is in my CCW pistol rotation.

I much prefer my G43 to the 9mm shield, and it is my #1 carry choice at this time.

Sadly the .45 shield had not been released in time to make it on to the unconstitutional roster.
