I’d like something that doesn’t exist. Like a G43X sized gun chambered in 5.7.

But ccw guns don’t really blow my mind. I was fine carrying my S&W 442 and recently picked up a G43. I like something that disappears in my pocket. It’s not like I’ll need to actually shoot it often in real life.

I would carry my M&P 2.0 compact. Its a great gun and perfect size for me.

I like the ones that I currently have on my permit, a P365 and 2 LCPs. It seems that I prefer them lighter in weight, the older that I get. I might swap one of the LCPs with a G42 when late fall/winter arrives. Loading the .380s with Underwood Xtreme Defenders makes me feel a bit more comfortable carrying them.

If a CCW was a possibility...... 1911, Jardine or ROGERS build.

I personally like single stacks. They don't print like double stack mags.

4 or 5 on my permit are off roster.

If it was available (feasible?) I would carry a Glock 43 in 10mm with +10-round mags. Thin, light-weight dependable platform in a show-stopper caliber with excess capacity.

For me, the important element of a CCW is surprise...that means complete concealment with ready access.

I like the profile of the Shield, but it has a trigger system from H***, and a stupid internal disconnect to field strip.

What I currently carry which is an off roster Shield with a thumb safety and well polished internals.

With a mag guts insert for a little more capacity.

I’ve been in a free state since April. Most of the time I carry a J frame. I like how easy it is to carry, I tried my Colt CCO a few times, but I think I need to change my wardrobe because it prints really bad. I must say I don’t feel under armed with the wheel gun.

I would say carry what you are proficient with.

I started CCW'ing with a Commander. Found it to be not very comfortable. Tried a Ruger SP-101, but felt the need to carry speed loaders and was not right for me.

Now days I carry a full size Glock and with 17+1, I feel like I have plenty of firepower for pretty much any CCW situation I may encounter. And I keep a few extra mags in the vehicle plus my Ruger PCC when traveling and feel I am good to go for anything within 100 yards.

                              YMMV

My Walther PPS M1. To me, one of the best CCW pistols available.
