Cz, just cause ammo is cheaper, reloading is easier, plenty of aftermarket support, tuneability, also has "premium" features.
Either one is great but a sp01 is just better buy.

You are eventually going to get both. I got the Cz first because of competition purposes, but in the long run, i still run my glock because im more familiar with it. The Sp01 is an amazing pistol right out the box, but yet doesnt get shot as often as I like.

I just aquired a 6in 586 in a trade, and ill tell u not one day goes by where i dont touch her. To me, revolvers are a work of art and beauty. The science behind them turns me on. I put around 150 rounds through her and love the DA pull. Shooting revolvers is alot different, and its like picking up a new hobby.

You already have some 9 bangers. If i were you, id get that magnum and start buying some ammo beforethe ban

Haha sounds like you are getting one anyway. But yea if you can get one for -la good price I would make my move. They are pretty rare to get towards the end of the year, since CZ only produces X amount a year.

I have no CZs but multiple L frames, that says it all.

I have both, but a 686 no dash 6 inch.

CZ SP-01 is a sweet pistol. Definitely a fine all-metal pistol. That red grip of your looks nice, but the stock rubber grip is the most comfortable grip I have ever felt.

586/686 6 inch is my favorite revolver.
But between the two, the CZ is more fun to shoot and the revolver is more fun to fondle.

I have a 8” 586 no dash without the “M” and a 6” 686 Plus pre-lock. I enjoy shooting them over the CZ Shadow 2. On the other hand my oldest boy prefer shooting the Shadow 2 over any revolver.

Smith 586, owned 3 different CZs, the amount I spent fixing and replacing parts on CZs I could have bought me 2 or more Smiths. Lessons learned the hard way!

I have both guns and both guns are right up there at the top of my favs.
Having said that, the answer is both, immediately, taking into account the 30 day cycle.
Having said THAT, the CZSP01 is harder to find, so I'd do that one first. I will add that the SP01 is absolutely the finest handgun I have ever owned or shot. It is one of those rare guns where there is NOTHING about it that I do not like.

If you reload go revolver. Chasing brass gets old quick.
