Glock 19 sights? Trigger?

Dawson rocks I've had them. I can't think of any aftermarket sights that are bad. But there is a lot of personal preference.

For the trigger you can always polish the bar, and put in a 3.5 lb connector. Since you are not using it for CCW you will be okay. Plus it takes 5 min to put in and out. Glock also makes what is known as the "minus" connector. Also there is a NY Green spring as well.

$128?!?!?! That's a lot of dough!!! The Dawsons are $78. Plus, they include the punch tool to push the rear sight out.

I haven't looked at those yet, honestly. Just browsed the tru glos and the trijicon. I'm just looking on opticsplanet.

As far as the trigger I would recommend installing a minus trigger bar. Drops pull about 1# and just feels better. The minus trigger is out of the G34. Also change out the ribbed trigger for a smooth one out of a G34 or 17. They swap right in and are cheap. Made quite the difference on my G19.

If youre shooting at kost indoor ranges, the lighting suxx, and fiber optics sights are next to worthless.

If outside or ina well lit area, i see the benefit. Inside, not so much.

I put some Vickers sights on my 19 after taking a class with Larry. I like them.

Dawson includes the punch, and the wrench for the front sight.

The rear sight dovetail on my G17 was very tight. Your best bet is to borrow a sight pusher. This makes the job easier and less prone to damage of the slide, and the old and new sight. A friend helped me install mine, and it was much easier than banging on the punch.

Dawson also includes the hex head screw for the front sight. When you remove the old screw, be sure to save it. When you install the new sight, be careful to not over-torque it! It's a tiny little bugger and it would be easy to snap it.

Suck is a broad term

I have moved the rear sight with OEM Glock sights when running the slide off of a belt, shoe and holster.


The trijicon have almost the exact same sight picture???

Ameriglo Spartans or the Ameriglo Agent (FBI Contract) sights are what I run. They are awesome for defense sights and not overpriced.

I don't recommend messing with the trigger right away. If you do, I recommend using Glock OEM parts. I recommend shooting it a lot first to see how it'll smooth out.

I've put a few thousand rounds in my 19 and it has a very clean break now. However in the buildup there's not a big solid wall at any point. For me if there's no solid wall I prefer a rolling break, so I might add an NY1 spring and a minus connector. Both stock Glock.

A minus connector will get you a lighter trigger with a single swapped part and this comes stock in the competition-oriented Glock 34 but some people don't think it's safe in a defensive pistol.

TruGlo all the way. I put them on our G19s first, then I put a set on my G36. When we both (wife and I) got our M&P Shields, the first thing I did was get a set of TruGlos for both.

They are excellent daytime sights since they act like fiber optics. At night, they glow very dimly but bright enough for HD use.
