    Glock 19 sights? Trigger?

Stock Glock sights suck. Any recommendations?

5.5lb trigger pull feels a tad heavy where I'm slightly yanking it. My chance to make it 4.5lbs?

Sights are a pretty personal thing, get whatever looks good to you. I don’t mind the stock ones, but have replaced some with night sights or FO sights.

Triggers I leave alone. Glock triggers aren’t great, but they’re average. Learn to shoot it stock and you’ll be a better shooter.

I put a set of Dawson Precision sights on my G17: red fiber optic front, fixed rear. The difference is amazing. I'd have to look it up, but paid around $70 for the set including shipping.

Not sure about what to do about the trigger. I'll leave that to others. I will say that if this is a new gun, shoot it for a while before making any mods. I've gotten used to my G17 trigger: It has smoothed out nicely.

OK, I'll give trigger a longer go. The pre-travel is a tad long, and the breaks aren't very crisp. I hope the break smooths out over time. I guess I can train pass the pre-travel.

Anything along the lines of tritium front and rear sights? I don't know many of the brands. Also, are they easy to install yourself? Never modified handgun sights before.

What are you getting sights and trigger for? HD, or range shooting? And don't mess with trigger parts, it will smooth out and feel lighter.

Yeah, go about 1K rounds with the trigger before deciding on upgrading it...

As for tritium - what is your use case? You have Trijicon, Dawson, TruGlo, Ameriglo, etc.

There is another thread about night sights - the first few pages before it got hijacked is a good read:

BTW, check out the link in my signature - it was a local IDPA match almost 2-years back. This was with a COMPLETE stock Glock 19 (both sights and trigger were OEM) with less than 500-rounds before that match... It didn't felt it hindered my performance.

Just range, and HD if it comes to it. Local range is kinds dim do I was thinking tritium or fiber. Ive only put about 300 rounds into the gun, but I'll keep going with the trigger. But the sights, I have to change.

Just range use mostly. Dim ranges, and the rear sight is terrible, usable sure, but I'm a bit spoiled. I've fiber front and rear on my 1911, they've been great. And since this would be my go to for HD, I was thinking to round it out with tritium.

I'll take a look. Not trying to spend more than $100 for a set.

I have had the TFX Pro on both my HD Glock 34 and my MP Shield 9 for about a year now. I didn't want to fall into the hype and cost of Trijicons... And they were good for range use..., until I took a tactical class with the Glock 34 (with the TFX Pro) and found that the fat front sights were a bit of a hindrance in precision shots.

I recently switched to the Trijicon HD XR in my Glock 19 (got it with a huge discount from OpticsPlanet)...

Felt much better, definitely, a well-balanced sight both in day and night...

Wow the price of the sights! I guess I'll go a bit more. But you guys got me off on a great start. Thank you!

I'm not a huge fan of night sights. I have Dawson fiber optics on my 1911. I've had them on other guns and really like the red FO. Never cared much for the stock Glock sights.

Spent quite a bit of ammo (2k+) and time trying to get the trigger smoothed out on our Gen 4 G19. It was o.k., but still kind of sproingy. Difficult to feel a consistent wall before the trigger breaks. That was our experience anyways.

I was never able to be as consistent with a G19 as I am with either a 1911 or my XD45 or XD9. We've had 2 Sig SP2022's and an XD-m, all of which were both more easy to shoot than a G19. So, in our case, it's a matter of what you can shoot easier and what you *enjoy* shooting. IMHO, I don't want to fight the gun to get on target. I just don't have the luxury of the time, money or ammo to do that. Some people do, but not me.

Sorry to drag it a little off-topic.

2x 1911s here myself. Great triggers, great Fiber Sights, so I am spoiled. I wanted a polymer gun to round it out, and the best yin to the yang was Glock for me .

Trying to get better with it and use it more.

What do you guys think of Haley's sights? Can get them for $128 shipped. The others cost more than ideal.

$128?!?!?! That's a lot of dough!!! The Dawsons are $78. Plus, they include the punch tool to push the rear sight out.
