Glock should have matched the P365's dimensions.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

That's actually the beauty of Glock: all their pistols are obvious variations / enhancements / evolutions of their existing pistols all the way back to the original G17. If you know how to shoot and work on a G17 Gen 1, you can operate and work on their latest model. That consistency is also why they have massive aftermarket support - manufacturers know that a Glock pistol is probably going to be around for a long time, so they are willing to make products to support every model. And all the pistols work well enough that Glock rarely discontinues a model. Actually, have they ever discontinued a model (not counting caliber variations or color variations or texture variations)?

A single stack G19 sized pistol is a very small, niche market. I don't think it will sell well when folks who want a single stack for carry would typically gravitate towards the smaller sized and already available G43 series.

If you're going to go OWB, then may as well carry the double stack G19 at that point. Heck the G48 appears to be a smidge longer at the barrel also.

I don’t see a purpose in getting a slim glock 19 with less ammo capacity. Since I can carry the 15 rounders, it just doesn’t make since for me personally. I’ve been carrying my gen 3 19 for about six years now without issue. I’ll stick with it.

I see the purpose because I don't carry a G19 because it's too thick and uncomfortable for me. I've never carried a glock because of that issue so for me personally this is a good move and one of the first glocks I would actually consider

              maybe just possibly

they aren't making these new glocks to appeal to glock fans who already have glocks and have been buying glock for decades and continue to keep buying the same old pistols glock always makes

perhaps they're looking to bring in new people. idk.

I think they still sell a billion of these to

                1. People in mag ban states who are first time Glock/gun buyers
                2. Glock fan boys

That said, the more I look at these, the less sense they make.

1.Big as a 19 so if you have, or can get a 15 round mag...why get one?
                2. If you want capacity in a small package like a 365 this doesn't even come close. Why get one?
                3. If you have a pile of Glock 9mm mags and a 26 already...why get one?
                4. If you want to pocket carry, this is so much bigger than a 43 as to make that not possible...so why get one?

Glock 19 is too fat for my hand, while the S&W Shield and Kahr CW9 are too skinny. These new Glocks may be just right!

Nice writeup and video on the Glock 43X and Glock 48 at The Firearm Blog...

In this episode of TFBTV, James gets his hands on Glock’s two newest single stacks, the Glock 43X, and the Glock 48.Both of these guns are single stack 9mm pistols, clearly inspired by (and borrowing many parts from) the Glock 43, which was a huge hit for Glock. Can Glock repeat its success with these two new takes on the venerable ultra-compact CCW original Glock 43?

I still wish they had a G19 single stack sized pistol. But this will do.

I love my G43 and the standard capacity of 6 is my only gripe...
Get a Pearce pinky extension +1 baseplate and get 7+1. Same length as the pinky extension magazine. Reports or reliability are good.

I can imagine that they might make the 48 so it’s magazines are compatible with the 43 or 43x so that they can be companion carry pieces for cops. With the 48 as the service weapon and the 43 or 43x as a backup, but capable of taking the bigger mags like with the g17/19 duty gun and 26 backup.

Your comparison is not apples to apples.

Would be more accurate and the P365 is smaller + 10 rounds

The 43x and 48 use the same magazine, which is wider and therefore not compatible with the 43.

Bonus...the 43x will fit in a 43 holster, per Milt Sparks.
