I do't believe it has been confirmed that AA is exclusively responsible for the missing mag, so it doesn't seem proper to place the blame on them yet.

Yes, it appears that SOMEBODY along the distribution chain is up to no good, but we don't know who, yet.

No point in defaming a vendor's character and reputation w/o proof of wrongdoing.

I work at the Armory, and I will look into this matter for you. I am reading a lot of negative comments here, but I assure you that we are in no way scalping mags. That is not the way we conduct business. Please feel free to send me a private message and we can discuss this matter further.

Gun manufacturers don't want licensed distributors to be gutting the product. It is lessens the product's value and reputation. Heads should roll. AA has basically slandered Springfield by pinching a mag.

Imagine you bought a brand-new vehicle from a Ford dealership only to learn that it didn't come with a spare tire. Would you think it is okay for the dealer to be taking the spares out?

I wouldn't assume the dealer took my spare out... but I'd approach them and ask about it. Then go up the supply chain.

Is it a DIRECT line between HSProdukt in Croatia and the gun store in question? Nope, there's a distributor that gets the product from Springfield (who in themselves is merely an importer) and sells wholesale to FFLs (like Antioch Armoury).

There are alot of posters to this thread that are all ready to believe that the second to last link in the chain is responsible for this "missing" magazine.

I'm interested to see where this ends up. Is RSR hoarding magazines? How about Davidson's? Is there another link between Springfield and the Croatian manufacturer of these XD pistols?

To those defending a dealer's "right" to remove a magazine or padlock, how would you feel if you bought a new car and the dealer decided to remove the spare tire and keep it? I'll bet it violates the dealer agreement with the manufacturer

Unless of course the dealer posts on the vehicle or contract that it comes without the spare tire.

hmm i wonder why antioch armory didnt even bother to contact SA at the request of the buyer to straighten this out. or even when they "got it from the distributor" with only one mag. everyone and their mother knows Xd's ship with two mags. it says it on thier website, in thier catalogs.

Yeah, I agree with you, Antioch Armory should have been on top of this right away. I am very happy that Springfield Armory took care of the OP.....that shows great service and also that they care about their customers. But, I think Antioch Armory should still give the OP back the other magazine for all the trouble he had to go through!!!! It would go a long way to restore their credibility..............

When I bought my Five-Seven i got one mag. They're supposed to come with three. Dealer said it came with three 20's but since I'm not LEO.... all I get is one 10 rounder he found in the back....after I questioned the gun I bought with NO mags in the case! This was after my 10 day wait.

Heck, I paid full price for the gun which was supposed to come with 3 mags! So what are they doing with the other 2 mags? ya, selling them for prolly $45.00 each!

Total BS. Thing is....If they are going to be that bold with such a stupid answer....they're obviously not intelligent enough to continue an argument so I just walked out. I wont be going back and I made sure my circle of acquaintances were informed of my dealings.

My point is....I't seems to be a trend.
