This is what I'd suggest. Pick a rig that can take the humidity and put a desiccant in whatever case/safe you pick, and put it in the vanity cabinet.

For me, I just IWB/OWB carry while I'm home, so never felt the need, though I think I am going to add a safe out in the living room/kitchen area, just in case now.

When I lived in the IE, I had several pistols stashed around my home. They were all hidden and never discovered by anyone who didn't know they were there. Best hiding place was a toe-kick drawer I built under a kitchen cabinet. No reason one can't be added to a bathroom vanity. Pic is not of the one I made but one I found on the web. I never told my realtor or the people who bought my home about the drawer and chances are they never discovered it.

If you need the gun with you at all times, then by all means keep it with you at all times and don't try to stash it in any place within the house. Just get a proper holster and you're all set, regardless of where you are in your house.

Like the scene from the Godfather movie. Bag it in the toilet water closet.

That's pretty cool, and imagine the awesomeness when years down the road, the new owners accidentally bump it open ... Whoa Honey! Check this out, there's a drawer here!
