    Bathroom Gun

What's the best way to store a handgun accessible in the bathroom?

    Assume the following:
    1) no kids (if kids are visiting they would be put away)
    2) do not want to be easily visible / found by guests
    3) needs to be accessible if you are dropping a deuce and bad things happen like you hear someone smash through the front door or window
    4) firearm will be a glock 19

    I've thought about:
    1) a holster attached to toilet
    2) attached to back end of a drawer accessible from toilet (not on inside of drawer but accessible once drawer pulled all the way out
    3) in a baggy in the reservoir maybe with magnet holding it to 1 side to not interfere with moving parts

Curious what better method may exist.

    And yes I'm paranoid..

I've had a house busted into (was not present they busted through door using a crowbar or similar to pry frame and break door) and even with alarm blaring it was still burglarized. Not sure what would have happened if I was there taking a dump or shower...

      Been watching Pulp Fiction lately?

Also, I've seen magnetic fixtures that can be screwed in anywhere to hold the pistol by the slide. Could be bolted to the side of a sink (if it's in a wood enclosure). Depends on your bathroom setup

Glock 19 in an iwb holster attached to your pants be the way to go. S&W Shield or Kahr CW or P9 in the holster be even better. Hang pants near shower when showering.

Get a cheap police surplus Glock.
Lube it thick with your favorite lube.
          Put into a Ziplock bag
Punch two holes above, not below, the seal.
Put two shower curtain hangers through the above holes.
          Hang on towel rack.
Put a nice thick bath towel over it.
Hang smaller hand towels over it.
Put all kinds of frou-frou over the hand towel as in model homes.

          Spot the Glock:

That wooden thing on the tub, though...

I just pocket carry a .380 around the house. But, if I’m dropping a deuce, even a hazmat team wouldn’t dare enter the premises.

I've got one by me when I'm in the family room, but it's not as easy to convince my wife to walk around the house with one on her hip.. I want to make sure she has access to it as well.

My sinks are enclosed with drawer thing. Can you send me a link to a sample of what you're referring to? If someone makes something I can use I might buy instead of trying to fabricate something..

                      Nice solution here.

Also I too noticed the wooden C&B. Hilarious.

Take one of her old purses and hang it on a hook or something in the bathroom with the Glock inside it. Then you could put some of those moisture absorbing packets in their too maybe.

You must have a larger bathroom than I do

Outside of being completely out of place like 8ft from the ground or inside the actual shower it would be pretty practical to use it wherever I put it.

Zip lock bag in the bowl. It won’t flush and guests might see it, but they sure as hell aren’t going to touch it.
