New AR Pistol for California, NOT A SINGLE SHOT

According to this video that was just posted of a law abiding citizen getting his registered AR pistols confiscated, whether they are right or wrong, CA DoJ seems to be of the mindset that ALL AR PISTOLS are banned. Period. WTF? There is a disconnect somewhere...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N3i...ature=youtu.be
he is the manufacturer [80% lower]
he's manufacturing a pistol
He cant make it semi auto and did.
He tried to register it and they confiscated it, at least he has a day in court and not waiting trial in jail. Officers were not aware of the fixed magazine options available, just like the first time around with BBs. Literally the definition of tool had to be changed to include a bullet. Hence bullet buttons.
I carry my roster print out at the range Showing new pistols added to the roster and the 3130. Also helps that the ca7 has Moraga California printed right on it... lol...Comment

Maybe this has already been covered but how did Franklin Armory get around the microstamping requirement to put a new gun on the roster?Comment

ETA: also it's BS since it doesn't exist. I can't believe any court would uphold this bunk *** roster solely based on that. Drop safety and little pop up loaded lights and crap? Yeah, sure, it's for the betterment of the kids or something. But using a technology that doesn't actually exist as your basis for not letting me buy a P320? Totally bogus.Comment

I heard the "lead" officer saying any AR pistol that is not featureless (which there is no such thing as a legal featureless AR pistol) is illegal. Our victim was trying to explain it was maglocked and therefor legal but the DoJ folks didn't give a **** and explicitly said if it aint featureless it aint legal. Looks like they were getting him on manufacturing of an unsafe handgun. Which is the same concern people are having about the CA7 and swapping in upper to create semi auto.
I don't know. I don't think even the DoJ knows that the law is. You may be very well right but I don't have faith that these officers would agree with you.Comment

I agree. The lesson learned here was that nothing good comes of registration. Nothing.Comment

We can all agree on that. Video footage like this actually does more harm as it solidifies everyone's concern that registration leads to confiscation. The DOJ and the LEO community is actually doing a disservice to themselves on trying to win the trust of the people they serve. All this does is make sure people don't comply/register. It's a shame on their part. If I serviced my clients in a similar fashion, they'd fire my *** faster than I could apologize for not knowing what I was doing.Comment

All SSE pistols were technically changed from single shot to semi. In fact, they were changed form semi to single shot. Then when you picked them up they were converted back to semi. This went on for years.Comment
