I never buy anything I cannot afford to pay for in cash. I never financed a car or anything else, except for real estate, residential and commercial.
First thing I pay at the beginning of the month is my and my wife's IRA contribution. We max out 2 x $6,500 = $13K per year, plus she feeds her 401K at work. We live on a strict budget, drive older cars, and try not to waste money on things we don't need. But if I want a new gun, I can afford to pay for it without a credit card.
    Your mileage may vary.

It's ok.no big deal! Now that you have it you enjoy it. You bought it bec you want it. Move on to the next purchase whatever it may be. Life is easy my friends. A lot of things in life u can't pay cash and you can't wait forever to be happy. the dinner dates that u once had, the vacations you took with your friends and family, that new gun or golfset you bought for your dad. That smile on his face will be in your mind forever for as long as u live. Be frugal but make sure U live your best life. People have student loan for almost 100000 thousand and still manage to pay for it. Just work harder and enjoy life........ it is only temporary!

for a long time and it also cost money.

Pick up some seasonal work to pay off the cc ASAP and keep the gun. We all push it sometimes. Let it make you stronger

Who cares, let the man who dies with the most toys win. Not even close to the most ridiculous appropriation of funds ive heard of. I once watched a man win 43k in a poker tournsment lose it all back in 3 hours playing blackjack. Nice gun!

I’d suggest getting a new credit card, since the one you have isn’t working anymore.

I'll end it here guys. This was all a social experiment. I was curious how people would react to individual(s) who act irresponsibly in this manner. I am not one that spends out of my means and know their are many who do. Was looking to see if I could gauge spending habits of others on this forum.

Anyway, I did buy the Wilson 1911 but the $3k I paid for it is a drop in the bucket. Good to see some people are willing to offer the right advice in this situation.

I'm 53. I did what the OP did in my 20's. I suffered through the 30's. I paid it off in the 40's. Its great to be debt free now. This is passed on to the OP because once your debt free buying those things is far easier. Avoid debt like a plague at all costs - settle for a Rock Island until you can afford so much more.

                            3. What hard evidence do you have?

Dude, the holiday season is coming up. Just get a second job kicking boxes at ups or fedex or at an amazon warehouse or retail store. Pay your normal payment as usual, then add all the money from your second job. You will have it paid off by the new year. Enjoy the gun, makes no sense to sell it right away, used is used.
