There is a great deal on used police trade ins on sportsmans guide. However, they have it as restricted and you can not purchase it.

I have been emailing them for over a week about it. At first they said it was the magazine (10 rounds) making the gun 10+1 which they tried to say is restricted in CA.

So I sent a link to one of their CA legal M1As that is listed as 10+1.

They then tried to tell me it was not allowed because it was used. I asked them to site the CA penal code and they told me it was Prop 65, which has to do with chemicals.

Maybe I am missing something, but this seems like a company policy similar to dicks and they will not be getting any business from me because of it.

If you are in a different state, I guess you could support this organization if you like.

      FYI.

A few years back, Sportsman's Guide changed their company policies and became an anti-CA vendor.
^They adopted the Cheaper Than Dirt policy for CA.

It's their policy to not sell anything they think is illegal in CA to CA residents.
^You can show them the product is legal in CA, but they won't change their position.

Easy if you can order online.

Easy if you live East of the Mississippi River (Wal-Marts in the South and East Coast stock .45GAP ammo).
