Fave M&P Shield upgrades

Remove magazine disconnect and sear disconnect
Apex low profile or no profile lci block
Remove safety lever
Trijicon hd orange front

This was close to mine. First thing I did was remove sear and safety disconnects. Added Apex duty Cary kit ans low pro LCI. Frank proctor y notch sights just to try, and tyrant base pad and mag release.

Only thing I dont like is the safety. I would prefer it a tad thicker to ensure it swipes off. When clicking it on it seems to hit two different indentations.

Blocks sights. Ugly. Annoying. Because California demands it unlike the free states. But mainly I feel it kills the sights picture.

It's just plain retarded and obnoxious! It could have been so much cleaner like other pistols. Instead Sig and S&W over did it for us idiots in California. I'm surprised it's not in multiple languages..Maybe in a few years lol

Looking at possibly buying an M&P Shield w/safety to add to my collection.

All you Shield owners, what are your favorite upgrades? I'm mostly looking for extended base plates and aftermarket triggers.

Does anyone make an extended safety lever?

Also, as I start comparison shopping, what would be a fair price to offer for a 9mm Shield w/ safety? I'm not looking to lowball anyone, but I don't want to get ripped off either.

Standard shield depending on how bad the trigger is will need a little smoothing, doesn’t have to be light like a match trigger, just smooth enough.

I did about $5000 dollars in upgrades to mine.......... 25 cents at a time.
in all seriousness I didn't upgrade anything. Mine is a free state model so no LCI or mag disconnect. I carry but I use kydex and never use the safety. IF I had a PRK Shield, I would probably lose the LCI, but that's all I would do.

Have one. I got fat. Trying out skinnier alternatives.

That said, a used Shield is only $350-$400. Most of the recent listings for used Glock 26es hover around $500. You can buy a new one for $499. I think there's something to be said for value too.
