Realistcally, all those HANDGUNS in the competition would make adequate side arms. Keep in mind the context here. This isnt a battle rifle competition. Its a sidearm that will most likely have very limited combat application.

As with any competition, there can only be one winner. Does that mean all the others were complete trash? Of course not. Its really small beans to crow about how the winner is so much more superior to any of the other designs.

How long has striker fired pistol technology been around? For decades. Its literally not rocket science.

This earth shattering "news" is much ado about nothing. If you like Sigs thats fine, if you like Glock thats fine too. Both are great guns and some of us actually like both AND 1911s in 9mm, .40, AND .45. OH MY GOD, BLASPHEMY! It really comes down to personal preference.

Its coming along nicely. People that wanted a G19 sized M&P now have it. We like it and the one thing we don't like about it (the trigger) they already have a fix for it. S&W improved while glock is steady dying from its lack on innovation.

Im perfectly content with a Gen 2 or 3 Glock. I really dont care either way. Fingergrooves or not, doesnt matter. I'll still shoot them just as accurately as any other gun including the P320. Polymer framed stiker fired guns are nothing more than tools to me, they will work if I work. Its kind of silly for people to get all frothy over which PFSF pistol is the "best".

I'm against people putting out trash and calling it gold. Glock where good at gen 3 and 4 was...... Then they did the 5 and people where like WTF?!? Shooters now want from serrations, metal sights and cuts for optics. The put a cut in the from of the grip, did match the slide cut the frame and took out the finger groves and when "HERE!" MF'er you aint HK! Don't make stuff for us and tell us you hate us. No make something cool AF, spit on us and call us scum if you must but MAKE SOMETHING WORTH BUYING!!!

I'm really curious how good of a deal sig gave them. Because the Glocks that go to LE/MIL are pretty cheap.

And that's the main reason most of these agencies choose Glocks. It's a decision based primarily on cost.

I'm not "as a buying official" going to turn down dirt cheap prices for a product a heard or knows that works. That's was an easy buy for those agencies. Now Sig is doing that and now Glock is shook. Add in that Sig already makes a better looking and feeling product and glocks time is coming to a close.
