    Glock 23

I have gen3 g17,g19,g23,g22,g35,g21, gen4 g21,g22,g23, have to say gen3 g23 is one of my favorite gun, accurate, feel good in my hand, with conversion barrel shoot 9mm,357sig, add 22lr conversion slide & mag shoot 22lr too, plenty after market support, share mag with g22,g35, highly recommended.

Not sure about CA prices with the new ammo regs, but locally here in Texas and through online sales, .40 is 2-6 cents more per round. Obviously it adds up, but I wouldn't say it's significantly more expensive.

Hey, not sure where you are, but I am Houston in the Katy area. Didn't think about stocking up on ammo and UPS it back. Any suggestions?

I'm in the central Texas area.
Like I said, I don't know anything about the new regs, so I'm not sure if you could ship it to yourself. Even so, that would probably negate the lower cost of ammo here.

Just buy any one and embrace the suck....
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

The "gens" are throwing me off too. At first I assumed the newer the gen the <$$$ but then I see in some threads people willing to trade their Gen. 4 + cash for a Gen .3 of the same line. Is it an off roster thing? When looking at the models, is my goal to acquire the latest Gen? I did look it up on one model what the gen diff was and saw some trigger pull mention, but instead of doing extensive surfing, is there a blanket guide on the gen diffs?

I have a g22 and g23 prefer the 22 with the .40 cal. If I were to have one Glock in my Glock arsenal it would be the 19. As a matter of fact I have a 22 and 23 for sale haha

                        Gen 3 is gen 3

Gen 4 has an improved recoil spring and a slightly grippier texture.

Gen 5 has no finger grooves (gen 3 and gen 4 have em) and the trigger is definitely improved. But the one i shot has a wierd half moon missing on the front of the mag well. Not sure if someone was high on the designing end but someone def messed up at glock.

If i lived outside of california, i'd go and buy the gen 5 for 500 bucks. But here in cali, you'd pay a markup for the gen 4's and gen 5's and i'm not sure if its worth it. I have a gen 3 and while i'd be willing to pay a bit more for a gen5 (not a gen 4), i don't think they're worth more than 100-200 over a gen3. The main point of difference for me is the improved trigger...everything else is negligible...

if you're in driving distance of Sacramento, and don't mind used, River City Gun Exchange has used g22s for $300 and used g23s for $400

I've always liked Glocks from the first time I shot my friend's Gen 1 back in '87. Just never got around to buying one until a couple months ago since I'm mainly a Sig/Beretta/HK fan. My favorite handgun cartridge is 9mm, but I've got more of those than I need so I decided on a .45 acp Glock There are some great deals to be had for non-sf G21s if your hand is big enough.

Regarding .40 S&W. I was never a fan of it despite having a Sig in that caliber. At the range I regularly shoot my friends .40 Glocks and I like them better than my Sig in that caliber. I recently picked up a G27 really cheap. I say go get yourself a good deal on a Glock in .40

Going to heed many of you. Doing a PPT at Jackson Arms this Thursday. Going to rent a couple based off suggestions here. I wonder if they would let me run a mag each through a few different models. Gen. 3 for sure...unless there is a deal on a 4. Thanks all!
