I think it has something to do with the new assault pistols ban of 2018.

We can not be trusted to spend our own money or own any U.S.A. legal gun here in Ca. The rulers of this once great state will make all decisions for us. Constitution be damned. They are restricting us little by little so when they do the last push all we can say is "Well at least we knew all along what they were doing".

This is my first comment, and after learning about microstamping I must use my first comment to say that the idea of microstamping as a way to prevent me from legally purchasing a perfectly legal handgun is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Shouldn't the technology at least be demonstrated as possible before making it a requirement? And what about if I just filed (?) The firing pin? Or if someone just uses someone elses reloads to kill someone? This is what is preventing me from purchasing my glock 19 gen 5....incredible...

It was never about tech, it was always about infringing your 2A rights. They dress up their infringmements with safety sounding BS, 'for the children'.

If microstamping did become ubiquitous, they would find some other BS way to stop you from buying guns. Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

This is what the Democrat party wants for you. Remember that.

This is a big part of why I joined CGN. To help educate myself and do my part and contribute in the fight of our 2A rights in my state.

You can still buy off roster guns. You will just pay a premium in the marketplace

                        Yeah, that's reasonable.
"Only $2,000 for a lightly used Hudson 9?! Deal!"

Well, let's give all the important players their due. A "Republican" governor signed it into law.

                              A distinction without a difference.

Caniks and other handguns not on the roster are very dangerous for the general population to own. These laws are made to protect us.
