    Help....Hate the Glock Trigger

Brand New Glock 34 Gen 3.

I'm new to Glocks but relatively proficient with 1911s and SigSauers.

What's really bugging me is the way my trigger finger rubs on the inner aspect of the trigger guard and lower portion of the trigger face.

I can force my trigger finger up the trigger face, but it is by no means natural or comfortable.

I polished the heck out of the trigger hardware.....and while that helps somewhat with the atrocious pull characteristics, it does not address the finger irritation.

Wondering if others have faced a similar challenge and if there were some credible remedies.

Perhaps its not the right pistol for me but i'd hate to give up on it so quickly without some further effort or insight, thanks.

Try the Agency Arms flat trigger, or similar. The Glock trigger will never be as good as a 1911, no matter how much $$$ you spend.

            Then don't buy a Glock.

I'm a 1911 guy and have shot a few Glocks.

I hate the trigger and the feel of the grips.

It is a plastic fantastic to some.

IMO, most folks that like Glocks want a pistol that runs adequately for their HD purposes.

I am a 1911 guy and it has been the platform I have been used to since I was a teen in the 60's.

            I like steel guns.

            Flame on!

            YMMV.

I'd put 3-400 rounds through it, and then see exactly what you want improved. Moving from 1911/Sigs to a Glock will expectedly be WTH alarming. As others suggest, you can swap the trigger and/or connector, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen first Glock impressions ease after a few hundred rounds.

              Good luck!

I switched to a flat faced trigger and a new connector and it made a big difference in my G19. There is nothing you can so to make a Glock trigger as good as a nice 1911. The closet striker fired handgun with a trigger even close to a 1911 is the Hudson H9 and that's said with a lot of exaggeration.

+1 Agency Arms triggers have better feel w/o sacrificing safety.

I just put the Overwatch TAC trigger in my G23 gen 4 and it chabged the gun and trigger completly, now its enjoyable to shoot.

I had OverWatch Precision flat trigger, felt a little bit better than factory.

Glock Trigger is based on Friction, not mechanical.
Trigger bar moves over connector, and rubs both striker and connector.
Your finger feels all the way of metal surface...
It never can be better than the guns with precision sear.

The Caniks have really nice triggers as well, especially the TP9SF X and Elite versions. Its too bad they are verboten in KKKalifornia. 卍 ☭

                              thanks everyone.

i'll learn to tolerate the quality of the trigger pull and try to optimize it accordingly. Really appreciate the information.

What i'm primarily hoping to address is the friction/abrasion i'm experiencing as my trigger finger rubs on the lower inner aspect of the trigger guard.

Perhaps a flat trigger face might help? Will review the noted brands/models.

I was wondering if others had experienced the same ergonomics/rubbing.

BMK, wondering what you are currently using (you mentioned that you had used the Overwatch)
