I’d choose the Gen5 34 MOS over this though.

This is like the XD9 subcompact i bought 10 years ago. It had a short slide, and you get the full size mags, with a grip sleeve that matches the frame that makes the frame a full size grip.

Nothing to gloat about, Sig received the contract because they're allegedly giving the guns away at cost.

Yep they still won the contract and Glock was still the first loooooooser.

I know way more people that did THAT than people who chopped grips.

What would that even look like hahah. We are in CA. We will be overjoyed if Glock does something great like releases the on-roster 26,19,17,34 with that awesome gold PVD coating on the slide and a coyote frame.

Dreaming about some fantasy gun from the German Police is background noise. If it isn't the real Glock system, might as well buy a clone like a P10C or PPQ... or even a Volkswagen9.

                      New G19X ?

Giving folks with larger hands a longer grip while increasing magazine capacity. Valid option for those in free States, although, as others have pointed out an X grip adapter with G17 mag in a G19 pistol would do about the same thing. Which is why they added some other small improvements.

This would have made a great service pistol.

Huh? The reason they lost is because the contract was for a modular pistol. Aaaand, Glock did what they always do... repackage the same old terd. Of course, in typical Glock fashion- they then got upset about it...

The modularity conditions were from the military. Glock failed the 1st requirement right out of the box... the main requirement was that the pistol was to be non-caliber specific. What did Glock do? they submitted a caliber specific pistol... They should've been happy the military allowed them to even compete after failing that one... There's a ton of info on the XM17 trials on the www if you want to learn more about it.

I don't agree, 2 different things IMHO. The 1911 is a classic design, that people appreciate and continue to pursue because of how well it works. Grandfather to the HP, and the CZ after it... I'm not even a 1911 guy, and I get it...

The Glock gets it reputation from the perception that because so many LEO's carry them, that they're the best... BS, LEO's carry them because of the pricing Glock offers them. The vary thing, you're complaining that Sig has done with the XM17...

This is funny, Glock being a master salesman should have capitalized on that.
                                Thank You X-grip.
