Glock isn't in it for the customer. Gaston knows how to make money, and doubling sales by offering not quite what people want a few months or a year before what they do want, makes the company a lot of money.

Don't care, it sounds stupid to me. A glock 19 slide on a Glock 17 frame.. Who would want that? The Glock 19 is already the perfect size.

The Glock 19X is the model that was submitted for the new XM17 Modular Handgun System competition.

I kinda like it. I never really heard any complaints about the Colt Commander which is the same concept with a shorter slide and the same length of grip as the full size 1911.
