You must like things that work.
I also find Glocks "ugh" but I prefer function to appearance. Six Glocks later, over 19,000 rounds between them & never a malfunction...I learned to really like "ugh."Comment

I’m a 1911 guy and don’t have any hatred towards Glocks. Only when the G Fanbois start the 1911 vs Gs is when I chime in a little. I do have about 5 Glocks and not a shame to admit. I may as well get proficient with Glocks for when the SHTF there’ll be lots of Glock parts available. The wise man said just find your place

Not a Glock fan either; but I do have 3 of them, 19, 17 and recently just got 20.

My wife has a Ruger SP101 with +P 38 Special loads. I installed a Wolff spring kit and touched up all the razor sharp internals. Smooth as a hot knife through butter now.
I prefer a 1911 .45 that I have massaged extensively, and it is an AMT Covina Hardballer, and it runs any manner of JHP ammo. If your 1911 jams occaisionally it is in serious need by you or a gunsmith to fix the problem.
I also have a 1911 .22, all steel, that runs without a problem. Built from a stripped frame and parts.
I have shot my BIL's Glock .40 years ago. It really is a badly fitting gun to my hand. You Glock fan boys have a good time with your plastic fantastics.
I will stick with steel.

You are forgiven my son. As penance, you must go shoot 100 rounds through a 1911 because JBM beats GG.My Marketplace Feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...k#post54003245Comment

It's a utility gun to the max. Only what you need, nothing you don't. Relatively cheap, durable, easy to service/maintain.
I don't really have any interest in handguns, that's why I own glocks and kahrs, they're basic no frills carry/self defense pistols.
Congrats on the purchase!Comment

Congrats. At least you bought the most accurate shooting Glock and not the over hyped G19.Comment

My first was a glock 17, it's a very trustworthy piece. There's all sorts of (mostly cheap) aftermarket accessories, too. Slide covers, grips, back plates, laser sights.Comment
