We are on the same wavelength. I understand having some mags stored empty if it's long term or buried.

Most of my mags are loaded and shot regularly. I cycle between them. The only thing I do on .223 mags is underload by a round or two.
The pistol mags all stay topped off, ready for fun.

I keep a half a dozen of my rifle mags loaded up (downloaded to 28) and a few of my primary pistol mags loaded as well

Am I the only one who has mags for guns I don't even own, as well as mags that don't get used and spare mags for non-SHTF guns? They've gotta be stored somewhere.

I do keep some loaded for sure. But if I need more than 3 loaded pistol mags in my bedroom I might as well just shoot myself!

As far as the rifle mags go I only have 2 10 rounders that are not slathered in cosmoline. I really need to clean those...

All my mags are loaded except for the one or two for each gun that I usually keep in my range bag. Then the rest of my loaded mags are in ammo cans...that's what they were built for.
