How do you guys store your unloaded magazines? I have them all over the place and need to get organized. Ammo can? Ziplock bags? Sock drawer?

Mag Storage

in a box"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson -
Depends on the setup. I keep most of my pistols in zipper pouches with mag pockets, so each gun can have 4-5 mags stored with it. Same thing for rifles that are kept in cases with pockets.
Spares go into a storage bin, but it can be hard to keep track of them that way. I write the gun type and mag # on them with a sharpie, but that wears off over time.sigpic

I handload so I have a bunch of empty plastic Berry's bullet boxes. These are roughly 3"x3"x5" (don't have one right in front of me), but I can fit 4 Glock mags in each one, with a little room left over. I have one box for each gun where I put mags, little hex wrenches and other small tools/parts. Whenever I take a gun to the range I also take the corresponding plastic box and I know I have all the accessories that I'll need.Julian

LOL, it's not devoted to mags, it has holsters in it too!
My more important magazines which get used the most end up on my mag circle.

Easier to pick em' out of a carrier than to sift through a drawer.

I have two bins, one for rifle mags and the other for handgun mags. It's pretty easy to tell which mag goes with which gun, so I have no need for labelling them.sigpic
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1764

I have most my shooting gear in a foot locker with wheels so I can transport it to the range easier.Insert something clever here.Comment
