    Based on the OP's needs, I'd say a G19.

    Nothing the G19 can't do.

I own a 26 for carry and two 19's which also carry almost as easily as the 26. The 17 makes no sense in CA. Being full sized it's only advantage is 17 Rounds capacity but in CA, it's neutered to 10. You could say the same of the 19 (15) but it is also concealable and a little easier to get a grip on when drawing than the 26. The 19 and 26 also share the same holsters.

Just because it's California, anything regarding concealed carry (or open carry for that matter) makes no sense in the more restrictive parts of the state.

I love the 19. I am very print conscious and can hide a 19 easily, backup mag is a 17 rounder and really its almost as accurate as the longer pistols. A great combat pistol.

I like them all. A Glock 17 was my first gun and like an idiot I sold it to get something else that I probably don't have anymore. Now I have a 26 and then picked up a 19 and just PPT'd a 34, I don't see a reason for a 17 anymore, but I'd might as well later down the road.

They make different Glocks other than the 19? I thought that was just a rumor.

And don't forget, no matter which Glock...if it's in OD it will be more accurate.

They're like Pokemon, got to get them all. Why would you want anything less? Would you by Members Choice Champagne At Costco when instead you could get Dom Perignon? I didn't think so

I carry a G26 for my CCW in CA. And a I keep a G19 at my bedside for HD. I carry standard capacity mags in both.

Agree. There is only one choice.

                            All-around pistol?

As others have already stated, G19. Best all-around pistol available at any price, roster or not.

I've owned all 3, currently have a couple 17's and 4 19's. I've had my CCW for over a decade, and carried the 26 and 19 extensively.

The 26 conceals a little easier, but not much. I'd much rather have the 19 on my hip.

G26. G19 isn't discrete enough for me. G26 gives up a little in terms of overall performance but it is the true "do all" pistol for me.

I own all three sizes, but in .40. I carry the 23 everyday. I carry in a black widow holster and found the slightly longer barrel stabilizes the gun and pushes the grip closer to my body, where the 27 tends to flop over. If I carry IWB I like the 27. If it's not going to be a carry gun, go with the 19 or 17. 19 seems to be the most versatile.
