    Glock 26 vs 19 vs 17

How's it going everyone, so I've decided on a 9mm Glock. I like the 26 but is the longer barrel on the 19 and 17 for recoil control and sight radius worth it? And is the bigger gun worth giving up the standard 15 and 17 round capacity for 10 round California magazines? Thanks in advance

Is the Glock for EDC or range use? Home defense, Back up or glove box or as a Utility player?

Glock 19 is always the answer, everyone should own one.

The Glock 19 is the "do it all" 9mm Glock, IMO. I have the 19 and 26, I don't have a purpose for the 17. My 19 is for training/classes/range/HD. My 26 is my EDC gun and the gun my woman likes shooting at the range.

I like the G26 for home defense and at the range. To me it's softer shooting than the G19. The G19 is good if you can't stand the shorter grip on the 26.

If you have ginormous hands, then maybe the G17.

            The 26 grips/shoots differently than the 17/19

When I decided to buy Glocks the reason was for home defense and carry. I opted for the 40 as I wanted a more potent round. I got the G23 and then a G27. I eventually bought a G35 for range use. With those 3 guns I really have no need for the G22.

They're generally found as rentals at any good gun range, if they're well maintained is another discussion.

Try all of them out and see what suits you better.

Depends on what you want it for. As for giving up capacity, if you're in CA, they're all 10 rnd mags, so that doesn't matter.

I don't have a G17, but I have a 19 and a 26. I am more accurate with the 26 than the 19. The 26 magazine is also considered trouble free while the 19 magazines sometimes have issues feeding HP ammo. The 19 mag can usually be fixed using a different follower.

The obvious answer is to buy all three. If you are only going to buy one, then find some to rent and see which one works the best for you.

I'm way more accurate with my 26 than my 19. Has to do with the grip.

At one time I have all three of them. Sold the Gl-17 & 26; Glk-19 as many would say the do it all flatform. It's a compromise to all given situation. If I can only own ONE pistol it will be GLK-19 bar none!

There isn't much difference between the G19 and G17, but if you have large hands, you may not like the G19 as well as the G17. The G17 is about 1/2" taller and 5/8" longer. The extra 2 rounds, in a free State, isn't that big of a deal since you can use G17 mags in a G19 and you can get an X-grip to fill the gap between the G17 base and G19 grip.

There is no reason to get a G26 unless you plan on carrying it or you shot one and like it better than the other G17 and G19.
