G26 or CW9

Itching to buy a small 9mm.
Torn between the Glock G26 and Kahr CW9.
Price between the 2 is about $100. Kahr=$300 Glock=$400.

CCW is not a possibility for me. So don't consider that in the equation. I have a 380 Kahr, and I like the trigger. Also have a Shield in 9mm. So, don't give any other choices but the two listed.

Which one would you choose and why?

I'm leaning that way. I have an opportunity to buy a G26 BNIB for $400, or a BNIB G19 OD for the same price. Really wish he had a G26 OD. I'd get it!

I am going against the trend here. CW9 FTW! You say you want a "small" 9mm. The G26 is not "small", at least by my definition. It is very chunky, but is shorter than it's cousins. The CW9 is small, slim, and light........3 things the G26 can never be.

G26 because I'm a recoil wimp. A couple of days ago

I shot my EDC Glock 42 380, which feels good to shoot, then switched to my G26. Whenever I do this, the first shot of 9mm is always a shock. No, it's not painful or uncontrollable, but it is WAY more felt recoil than the G42. Every time I do this I also congratulate myself for getting the G42 instead of the 9mm G43. I'm sure I would have hated the way the G43 feels to shoot.

I own and carry a Kahr PM9 and CM9. That said....Spend the $499 to get a brand new OD green Glock 26. That's what you really want, and that's exactly what I just did. I was looking for a small double-stack 9mm, and it compliments my OD G19 that I also recently purchased.

If CCW is not an option for you then my suggesttion is to get a Glock. Your Shield already fills the slim compact role that the Kahr CW9 would and they're NEARLY identical in every size and weight. As for which Glock, it depends. If this is your first 9mm Glock my suggestion is to get a G19. If you already own a G17, G17L or G34 then go for the G26.

I'd say it has something to do with people not thinking that a handgun should feel like holding a piece of lumber.
Not everyone picks up a furrowing strip at Home Depot and thinks 'Dang this feels good and fits my hand really well!'.

Too blocky in my hands, and I can't shoot them well. Why own a bunch of stock in a company that I have a hard time releasing the mag or slide, when I can find something else that won't alter my grip? Granted I will never sell my G19, there are still plenty of guns I can shoot and manipulate better...

In this case the CW9 takes it over the 26.
