"Glock triggers suck". -No they don't. They hurt after shooting 100s of rounds (because of the safety bar), but they work great.

Compared to every pistol I have ever shot glocks have terrible triggers.

I am a glock fanboy but let's not lie to ourselves. The triggers are horrid.

The Sigma was really bad. But I still had no issue with it.

Glocks are the most used guns in competition, their grip angle helps tame recoil and feels fine to me.

What competition? A GSSF match? Glocks are rare in USPSA competition as are almost all plastic pistols.

And as an FYI, my son currently shoots a Glock in USPSA but that is only because it fits my budget for his current level of commitment.

It used to be pretty popular, it may come back around in CA. I mean who wants to damage mags for pistols you won't be able to get ? Especially at lower levels of competition.

Out of curiosity, what do you see ? STIs and CZs ?

I'm in another thread where the folks are going g26 over the shield.
What a difference in a change of threads make.
If I were to make one simple change to the glock that bugs me to no end , is the way they attach the mag base plate.
Just do it like most everyone else for crying out loud. It's better that way

I suspect that is due to mag capacity and possibly recoil. For me, the G26 had a slightly less recoil but more muzzle flip, where the Shield has a sharper recoil but less muzzle flip.
I agree. The mag base plate can be a pain, sometimes, especially when new.
