    Glock Gripes

Why do people complain about grip angle? "The gun points high or points low". You point the gun, don't you?

    "The sights suck." -okay...true.

"My (fill in the blank) is more accurate." -Tell that to Hickock45 who shoots his stock Glocks like a sniper.

"Glock triggers suck". -No they don't. They hurt after shooting 100s of rounds (because of the safety bar), but they work great.

"Glock ergonomics don't fit my hand". -It is a gun, not a pair of shoes. A device that containing an exploding element isn't natural or comfortable. man up.

Every firearm owner is an expert on his own. You have all these opinions but not enough gun models and types to diversify it evenly. So for every gun manufactured there will be lovers and haters of it. There is always something to complain and praise about.

It's only a problem for people who either 1) hate glocks anyways, so they find anything to complain about, 2) are used to 1911 or similar and are afraid of change, or 3) are incapable of adjusting their shooting habits.

                "The sights suck." -okay...true.

There are better sight options, but anyone who cares that much is going to swap out whatever Glock put on there from the factory anyways, so it's fine that they suck.

"My (fill in the blank) is more accurate." -Tell that to Hickock45 who shoots his stock Glocks like a sniper.

To be fair, Hickock45 shoots anything like a sniper. But Glocks are generally plenty accurate for anything short of a long-range pistol match.

"Glock triggers suck". -No they don't. They hurt after shooting 100s of rounds (because of the safety bar), but they work great.

They're not great, but as with anything, it's fine when you get used to it. I sanded down all my trigger safeties slightly so that they're flush with the trigger face when the trigger is pulled, made a world of difference. No more trigger finger blisters.

"Glock ergonomics don't fit my hand". -It is a gun, not a pair of shoes. A device that containing an exploding element isn't natural or comfortable. man up.

Actually, guns sort of are like shoes, in the way that one that feels good to one person may not feel right to another. That's why it's great that there's a selection of different guns for different people. If there was one set of ergonomics that works for everyone, there would only be one kind of pistol. For me, the ergonomics are great, but also I'm not picky. My beretta feels just as good, as does my sig 238. There's nothing wrong with a 1911 but they just never really felt right to me. To each their own.
As a Glock guy, I threw in my $0.02 above
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

They are striker fired, which I don't care for. I like hammer fired. Plus they're ugly and their grip angle is un-natural.

Glocks, as the most popular pistol in the world,

make an easy target for less successful competitors and disgruntled owners of these less popular brands...

Glocks are the most used guns in competition, their grip angle helps tame recoil and feels fine to me.

I had a 1911 at one point, pulled the trigger...no bang...again...no bang... was thinking wtf? Whipped off of the firing ping area with a paper towel and pulled the trigger agin...BANG. A bit of CLP had gotten in the area and the gun wouldn't fire. Never happened with my Glock. Hammer fired guns are antiquated technology and on the way out. There is a reason that Navy Seals switched to Glock from P226, and don't say it is because of cost.
