I still want to try a 17L at some point.

Options are good when one pistol can shoot 3 calibers. Imho my .40 flocks shoot 9 with just a barrel change. Same ejector, spring, mags.

Yes, assuming you have other guns in .40. I do not, and I do not stock that ammo, so for me personally there is no reason to get a .40 one.

        That is the plan.

It is not my first Glock. so they are multiplying quite nicely.

Indeed. One became four for me very quickly.

No, but it comes with a hard case and has adjustable action. I would not use one in self defense. Nor would I take this particular one (or any other I own) into an airport. They give weird looks... which in any other place might be less of a concern.

I have a Glock 17 and I currently prefer it over the g34. I don't really understand why, because the 34 is a bit more forgiving when it comes to target shooting.

Just because you don't want to stock up in all the different ammo calibers is not a good enough reason not to own guns in different calibers. You can stock up in 9mm, then have a few boxes of .38 sp. or .45acp or .40S&W just for the fun of it.

It feels to me like the G34 has the slide release lever lower down than the other full-size Glocks.

Holding a G36 feels weird for me because of its single stack thin grip. I prefer the double stack Glock grips.

I like the G22 a lot, it is a lot of fun to shoot despite the bad reputation of the .40S&W round in some circles.
I completely agree about different calibers, actions and triggers. Not all my guns are in 9mm and not all of them are glocks.
