Single action choice

I have a Beretta Stampede Bisley, 7 1/2" barrel in 357. The "case hardening" really stands out and it's very well made, by far the best SA trigger pull I've felt on an 1873 style revolver. The case hardening looks to me a "laid on" application as opposed to something in the metal. Seems durable enough.
The transfer bar still gives off 3 distinct clicks. Although I'd like a conventional action I can live with the transfer bar on a Bisley under the theory it's already a bit different from the conventional SAA revolver.
Prices on the Stampede used vary quite a bit. I got mine used NIB for $450.00 but I routinely see them up in the 7s and high 8s - which I think is wishful thinking on a seller's part. Mid 4s to mid 5s seems about right.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

Most affordable revolver case hardening is not true hardening but is a chemical process to look like case hardening. Original ruger hardening is very thin, will rust and looks like crap. I sent the bottom revolver to Doug turnbull for refinishing. He has a process to harden the cast frames without affecting the strength. The colors are simply stunning. Even in that crappy pic the color contrast is evident. The blue to grey transition is unreal!Comment

Really? This smacks of a TROLL post but okay, here goes!
Ruger ANYTHING is strong and totally satisfying!
If you want "3 screws" then you WANT ANYTHING not Ruger!
There are a myriad of gun makers who import single action revolvers at reasonable dollar numbers.Comment
