Glocks becoming irrelevant?

Glock made little changes from generation to generations, but I do understand that they want to keep the handguns simple; but they can make changes such as putting on better sights, make a full 1913 picatinny rails, a better trigger shoe are some of the changes. I thought it was interesting.


What do you guys think?
I think for glock fans its good they don't change . keeps them from falling off the roster like s&w non shield m&p line did.

Glocks are here to stay, they are the quintessential NOOB gun and the people that continue to shoot them just simply lack taste and don't mind crap ergonomics. (Or they have been department issued that crap)

Style changes? Can you even keep up with the differences in all the cosmetics with all of the cars in the last five or more years??

We are not talking style changes in pistols here. We are talking mechanical differences.

You might like Glocks or any of the plastic fantastics, but I am old school and have used 1911 .45 and .38 Super pistols for over two decades.

You might want to educate yourself about 1911 pistols before you decide that the newest plastic crap is the best.

Your call, but I feel bad for you Kalifornikates when it comes to Glocks.

I have an electronic mouse trap. It's modern and fancy and ... the old wooden ones work just as well and are cheaper.

If something works well, it doesn't become irrelevant because something more modern comes along, especially something that is no evolutionary.

Glock - reliable and durable semi auto, that is much lighter and cheaper to mass produce than a 1911.

The design of spoons, forks, hammers and buckets haven't changed much either. Doesn't mean they are irrelevant.

Maybe climate change causes the entire earth to constantly be covered in a light fog, then we'll need a better gun that can deal with it.

Or if a lightweight bullet proof fabric is invented we'd need something more effective.

Who knows, maybe there is something extra awesome out there waiting to be invented like a quadruple stacked .22 caliber that uses silent magnetic propulsion will come about. THEN Glocks and 1911s will be irrelevant.

I convinced some noobs to buy Glocks. On purpose, and based on my own experience. For all the reasons people have rehashed over and over. However, one other thing is that they are reasonably priced and for these folks if it was any more expensive, they might not have bought anything.

YM's video is showing me that he's running out of things to talk about. I've watched most of his videos, but ... ironically, he's becoming irrelevant.

Pretty sure Glock doesn't care about the US Contract, as they never had it before anyway.
