That is particularly ironic and hilarious since the VP9 is literally a Volkswagon or volkspistole (VP).

    Good shooting.

That's "The People's Pistol" as heard with a German accent!

        Heeeeheeeeheeee.

That VP or volkspistole is behind enemy lines within the confines of the People's Republik of Kalifornia. It's even more precious because of that!

Glad we are having some fun with this post about the controversial subject of the HK VP9 ...

I don't think there is another gun that brings out such a debate (pro and con) as the VP9. Countless threads about the marketplace pricing, value, quality, durability, accuracy, etc. Every time it's mentioned, it brings out the passion from both sides.

Yes, it (VP9 is the antecedent) certainly does.
I was actually very lukewarm about the VP9 when I heard about it.
I played with them at Shotshow ... I thought 'meh' and went about.

I just kept hearing so many good stories about them, I took the dip and then plunged forward. Now I have a collection of them -- the VP9s (and even VP40s).

It's become my favorite because it's so comfortable, pointable (for me), and accurate.

This little pistols brings out the passion and deep seeded feelings from both sides - the 'fanboys,' the haters, the intellectuals and the pseudo-intellectuals.

            I love it!

I bought Glocks when SSE was ending, but had one slot to buy either a VP9, PPQ 5", or a Witness. I grabbed the PPQ. I probably would have liked either striker fired pistol, but I decided Volkspistoles just were not for me. Hahah.

I like the PPQ and still love my Glocks.

Yep I had 3 VP9s up to a couple of weeks ago and sold one just because I have two others.

What I really want is a FDE VP to add to my sickness!

An objective test of each pistol.

Groups at 15/20/25 yards, 10 rounds at each distance into a B8 target. Score targets. Have each of your friends do the same thing.

Everyone shoot a Bill Drill with each pistol. Notate scores and times.

Everyone pick a USPSA classifier and shoot it with each pistol. Notate scores.

Shoot a FAST test with each pistol. Notate score.

Shoot the 700 Point Aggregate, aka The Humbler, notate scores.

Shoot Larry Vickers "the Test" at 10 yards, notate scores.

That way we could see how each shooter was performing with each pistol.

                    Eliminates the "feels".
                    Great points.

I'm not sure I could even see a 10" plate at 100yrds let alone hit it. That does not deter my belief it can and has been done.

Yep, and no matter what the task you tried and succeeded at where they probably didn't even try. Must not be possible because they never did it.

Then again, there are lots of fish stories and Military worship here too. You'd think people would be more supportive of all the things we have in common here. Entertainment value is always high, so I am not complaining much. Rushing in and screaming "Look at me, I'm special!" isn't everyone's style, but it is universally enjoyable to watch.

At least the 25 yard group pic had the actual distance listed.

I'll be busy for the next hour perfecting my signature where I'll list all the calibers I have and all the guns I shoot (pictures of).
