    Which would you pick?

Went by on of my LGS today just to take a look and they told me they had a Glock 34 Gen 3 in the back and a Glock 19 Gen 3 in the display case. I handled both guns, but the G34 was a pretty nice gun, but I'm torn between the two.

Both, take both. The 19 the first month and the 34 the second.

I settled on the 17 - I liked the 34 slide, but didn't like the extended controls and couldn't tell the difference between the lighter trigger and the regular trigger. I did try the 19 first and I thought was great but just too small.

I've shot a G17 and G19, both felt good in my hands but the G17 felt better. Holding the G34, it felt amazing in my hand, but I know it's a competition/match gun but I don't shoot matches.

Depends. What other similar pistols do you already have? Range toy/ trunk gun/ home defense?

19 for home defense/all around gun.

                  34 for competition.

Both are great guns, I bought a 34 and besides range fun I use it as my home defense gun.

G19 is the only Glock, nay, the only pistol, that every shooter should own. It's the perfect do-everything sidearm.

The 34 is great, mine is a Gen 4. But 19 first.

If you never plan to carry and only use the firearm for home defense as well as paper punching, I would recommend getting the G34. More accurate, less recoil, better sight radius and slightly lighter trigger.

If you're not carrying, I'd go G34. To me, feels way better and am more accurate with it than G19 or G17.
