I'd say most guns are over priced. At least in the service pistol category. In my opinion if they're just slapped together without much fitting they really have no reason to be that expensive. Fact is it's capitalism. If people will pay the company can charge that amount. I've heard many accounts of when the cz couldn't even be given away and cost about $300 or less. Now they have a cult following and prices have risen considerably.

        Awesome pistol OP.

Yeah for a while CZ could not give away pistols.at 300. I brought my first used stock P01 for.300.and the seller tossed in 250 rounds of 9mm.on top (this is when 9mm was 9 cents or.less a round)

The SAR is considered an underrated gun but I think it's a gun that is not well known because people associate low price with cheap quality or unreliable. In a free state, this model in all black is selling for only $369 plus tax, shipping and fees. So is this gun cheap or are most guns over priced?

If the SAR K2 shoots and feels similar to a CZ 97B, why is there such a big difference in price?
I think for your tests for inexpensive vs expensive guns accuracy tests need to be at 25 yards and where you will see issues pop up is higher round counts

He also has to make sure the k2 is sighted in properly. They're not always sighted in from the factory since they have adjustable sights.

I have not been into CZs for long enough to answer this question form personal experience. From what i have gathered from those that have been into CZs for a lot longer than i have, at least in part it is a matter of how established the market for the pistol.

There was a time when CZs went for $300. Part of this was CZ establishing a market in the US. I have heard it said that Caniks are now where CZs were 20 years ago. I assume that this goes for SARARMS as well to some degree.

It will be interesting to see what the prices of some of these pistols will be 10 or 20 years from now.

I already paid a slight premium for having one early so don't think I can ever get a good return on investment. I'm hoping it will shoot as well as a CZ 97B and I'll be satisfied with my purchase. Can't wait to bring it out for testing. Will definitely try at 25 yards.

2.5" grouping: 50 rounds at 7 yards, & this gun is way more accurate than I am.

Nice shooting. I took my SAR K2 out and did a quick comparison to a stock CZ 97B and both shot around 4" at 25 yards. This was done kind of on a rest. Wasn't ideal support so I think the groups can be much tighter.

Freehand I was shooting about 6" groups with a couple of flyers when I lost a little focus. Next time I'll take a few pics. I was out at the rifle range for over 3.5 hours before I started shooting handguns. Next time I'd like to be fresh to see how I can do. Definitely a good buy if you can find one.

I had mine out at the range yesterday...I'm not one to buy "budget" pistols but my move to NV had me wanting to try something different so I have purchased two budget pistols; the Sar K2 and the Canik TP9SA.

The K2 feels great in the hand and has been flawless so far. I haven't shot it that much yet but I am thinking it would be a great gun to leave in the nightstand. It functions perfectly with Winchester Rangers. I'll probably put a few hundred more rounds through it before making a decision on using it as a house gun.

I'm not a fan of the adjustable sights. I've not quite got the gun perfectly sighted in but I have had to really crank up the rear sight to get proper elevation at 15 yards. Low profile fixed (drift adjustable) sights would be preferable. The trigger is pretty good in single action; double action is really more of a second strike than anything else as the gun is designed to be carried cocked and locked.

I like it and think it's an excellent value at $369.
