Glock 19 failure to eject.

My g21sf had two failures today. Both from limp wristing. One failure to eject and another failure to return into battery. Wasn't me shooting. Noobie first time shooting glocks. He is no longer considering a glock.

Yeah, it happens, huh. Had a friend who shot G23 and G27 for years, and has a new DE 1911. No problems with any of them. Handed her my new G34 and she couldn't get through a mag without 2 or 3 FTEs. I couldn't make it fail. She tried a half dozen mags. Decided she hated my G34. Funny thing is I gave her my 9mm conversion barrel for her G23 and she loves it. Doesn't always make sense, but some people have problems.

I've never had problems with mine feeding regular FMJ, except for when the springs became worn out.

I have a Glock 17. When it was new, I had some feeding problems using new 10-round magazines in the first 100 rounds, using FMJ factory ammo. The problem resolved itself with more shooting. To be on the safe side, I replaced all 2183-2 followers with 9mm3.

Glock 10-round magazines suck. It might be due to new, stiff magazine springs.

Also, be sure to remove the 2183-2 followers and replace them with 9mm3.

No, nobody has EVER had FTEs with a glock 19
A while back I tried some aluminum ammo, had numerous FTEs, went back to Winchester white box and whatever the reddish box stuff is, no more problems

EXACTLY! No glock has ever malfunctioned. Your glock must be a different gun. I bet it is a 1911.

Just got my G19 out of jail yesterday. I took it straight from the box and put a 100 rounds of 124gr through it. Ran flawlessly. Wow, I really love it. I didn't think it would come close to my G34... but it turns out, I like it equally as well.

In my humble opinion, I think the Glock 19 deserves all the praise it gets.

Glock gen 319 BTF issues are said to be fixed by installing Gen 4 extractor

Since you have two of them, and have tried the magazines in both, that might eliminate the magazine issue. Maybe not. As a touchy magazine might be ok in one gun that is broken in, and not the other.

It maybe a fitment issue between the slide and the frame. I would field strip both glocks, and reinstall the barrels without the recoil springs. See if both move back and forth on the slide easily. If it seems to bind, then fire it 500 rounds, and you will be fine.

Do a detailed strip on both of them and examine that the extractor springs are clean, and appear to be fine.

Clean off the "oil" that came from the factory. Put good gun oil on it.

I did that when I cleaned both and it appears they both look the same as well the extractors.

I have 12 mags. 8 G19 mags and 4 G17 mags and the issues happen with all but two mags.

I did notice that the last 10 rounds fired at the range there was no hiccup so maybe it did need to have a break in period. Going to take it tomorrow or Tuesday to more rounds in to see if continues.

Good point. I ran 500 FMJ of WWB, Federal and Federal Aluminum. Not a problem until I loaded Tula. In a box of 50 maybe a FTE, 2 FTF and occasionally BTF.
