I took my new Glock19 to the range and put 200 rounds thru but I had about 10 plus FTE. I put 100 rounds of Federal 115 gr aluminum casings, 50 rounds of 115 gr America eagle and 50 rounds of reloads from the range. I did have a light mounted on it thinking that was causing the FTE so I took it off and still had the same issue. Has anyone had this issue before.

Glock 19 failure to eject.

i am used to shooting .40 but when my buddy and i went shooting yesterday, i shot his 19 and i found that i was allowing the muzzle to rise (limp wrist) because I am used to a certain amount of recoil. any chance you are used to firing a hotter round?Comment

No, nobody has EVER had FTEs with a glock 19
A while back I tried some aluminum ammo, had numerous FTEs, went back to Winchester white box and whatever the reddish box stuff is, no more problems

No I was not limp wrist. I had my second glock19 and it had no issues with the same ammo.Formally known as el Chingon...Comment

Good point. I did not think about that. I'm going to take it again next week but this time I will use 124 gr. Ammo and u will swap out the spring.Formally known as el Chingon...Comment

Sorry but doesn't surprise me. They are known to have that issue. Good luck finding the problem and hope you can trust it.Comment

this is the first time it has been to the range with the first 200 rounds, so it is a new gun and i'm thinking it does need a break in period. I have had a G17 and i have another G19 with 2000 rounds and never had this issue, and i have never heard of glocks have a lot of issues, so i am hoping it needs a break in period.Formally known as el Chingon...Comment

Check the ejector angle to your other one, check the extractor, you can even switch extractors with your other 9mm. This is rare, but probably easy to fix. Glocks will shoot anything type of casing/bullet without problems, except a improper sized reload.Comment
