Buying display case Glock 19?

Everybody complains about dry firing guns, and honestly I only dry fire my personal weapons when I have a snap cap in the chamber. But, when I was on active duty, we dry fired our mk18s and sig p229s thousands of times. I never saw a single damaged firing pin.

We functioned checked our m16s and m4s all the time... Dry firing them.... Never thought anything of it....

Well, except the one TSgt we had, that functioned checked his with a loaded mag.... moron....

If you break a glock by dry firing it, you should go buy a box of lottery tickets.

The only guns I'm aware of that you can break by dry firing are rimfire.

Have you ever seen anyone come out of a bathroom stall without washing their hands? They could have handled it. Just keep that in mind when choosing to buy a display gun.

Have you ever seen an gun assembly line worker come out of a bathroom stall without washing their hands then package up a new gun to be shipped out?
Believe me, you handle things all the time like this.
If someone else touches anything before you bought it, you're exposed and can't be avoided.

People on here by police trades ins that have thousands and thousdands of rounds through them with no problem. Its not like its a speaker system thats been on display at best buy...its a glock.

It's all relative to price. If it's a good deal to you, go for it.
Personally, if I pay for new, I expect it to be without blems. Not perfect because that doesn't exist.
If you buy a new car, you want to be the one putting the first dent in the door. If it already has a dent (yes it happens to new cars before they are sold) then either fix it or discount...

I have bought many used Glocks. Every single one I own is used. That was the only way I could get the rare and unusual ones that I want

I have bought display case guns, and haze zero issues doing it. If the gun has some blems on it I will ask for a discount.

Same here. Jus dros'd a new piece on Thursday and requested an untouched one.

On the other hand, if it was the only one they had, I probably would have gotten it.

The 2 big local gun shops nearest to me have different rules. One zip ties through the slide and the mag well so you can't dry fire or rack it or even put a mag in it. The other let's you do as you please. Went in there and had my way with a couple of items.

Buy it. Heck, it's probably $200 cheaper than a used gun on Calguns.
