Give one reason why Glock would leave their many CA customers high and dry and stop producing the Gen3 roster handguns? They would give up somewhat of a monopoly on semi-auto's.

I'll be selling my G19 in a couple of months, and I'll probably ask more than one is new, even though it has 2500 rounds through it. It will also include Trijicon HDs, which are about $125 new, extended mag release and slide stop, and a couple of holsters that are $40-$80 each.

So, people might balk at the price of a "used" gun, but sometimes it's worth it. I've definitely paid more for a used gun than a new gun in the past, and it can make financial sense to do so. Along with all of the other reasons people have mentioned.

I'm not in need of any pistols so I am not concerned with the fate of the gen 3. At the same time, the new SEAL purchase of glocks stipulates they must be gen 3. Don't know why, but I assume an open military contract and the largest state in the country would be reason enough to keep pumping em out.
