    My first firearm - CZ75B

    Hello,

After waiting 10 days, few days ago I finally picked up my first firearm, the CZ75B.

I have been thinking of getting a hand gun for quite some time and after a lot of reading and researching I decided that this may be one of the best choices.

I must say that I really, really like it a lot. It feels really good and fits the hand so well.

I have 2 extra magazines on a way from czcustom for a total of 4, and I also installed VZ grips, CZ 75 FRAG Black Gray. Those grips are great and make the CZ thinner bringing it down from 1.4 to 1.2 inch wide. That makes a nice difference for anyone with smaller hands.

I took it apart, cleaned it and oiled it and now I cannot wait to actually shoot it.
For now I have been exploring how it functions using snap caps.

    I'm extremely excited!!!

    And here is a picture.

That does look brand spanking new and I really like the grips. Look nice and I think we'll increase function to boot. You made a great choice. Shoot the crap out of it. The trigger will smooth out after 500-1000 rounds. Less if you're lucky. Lots of cz fans here so feel free to ask pick some brains.

You'll learn over time that this means nothing. One of the worst reasons to buy a handgun. With all this research you did I wonder how you ended up with a CZ. You're going to have fun with those roll pins as a new firearm owner, lol. Alot of small moving parts too, complicated full dissemble. Should have bought a Glock brand Glock, specially as a new owner. It doesn't get simpler.

I don't get the hype over CZ's, everything about that gun looks cheap.

He wanted a CZ, he bought a CZ.

The nice thing about guns is you can sell them if you don't like them.

"everything about that gun looks cheap." That's a laughable statement right there.

You'll love it, OP. Great pickup!

Great buy OP! If you love the gun now, just wait till you shoot it. You'll never want to put it down.

One thing you'll learn about Calguns is there are a lot of cool members. There are just a few who make ridiculous comments regarding things they know nothing about. Bear in mind they tend to be very lonely people, and this is where they can vent. Just smile and nod...

My first 9mm was a CZ 75B but SAO. Notice I said first because you will find this is only the start... I love it. I later added a CGW race hammer and now I really really love it. Function and feel is what is most important but I do like the classic simple good looks. Good choice. Enjoy.

Always glad to hear about a new "first firearm" purchase. Our society needs a lot more of that.

I don't own any CZs but they do have quite a following. My guess is that you will really enjoy that gun. And give it time. You think you like it now? Wait until after you've put 500 rounds through it. You will really like it then. And besides all that, that is a good looking gun you have.

Germ1 didn't say anything that was ban-worthy; didn't attack anyone personally. I think he just gave a tough review of the CZ and about picking out a gun just from holding it, a criticism which has merit. A handgun feels different while shooting it.

OP, congrats on the new handgun. It's a fine gun with pluses and minuses, which you'll soon discover and can advise other members later.

Calling someone's first handgun looking cheap was mean though.

I just want to point out saying a gun looks cheap and then recommending one of the cheapest looking guns seems slightly hypocritical. I mean the glock has plastic sights...
