I have a love hate relationship with my Colt Delta Elite. It's also on my CCW, primarily to carry when hiking. I consider the 10mm to be a bit too much for use as a man stopper because the 10 will defiantly over penetrate on most any target. I'm a reloader also; I have a nice reliable load that pushed 180gr JHP to 1,280fps. I had to up my recoil spring to 24lbs to get the spread down and don't recommend this load for a Glock, unless the barrel and recoil spring are replaced.

Yes very different.

9x25 Dillion uses the parent 10mm case and pushes a 95 grain bullet at about 2000 fps.

The 357 Sig uses parent 40 S&W case (kind of) and replicates the ballistics of the 125 grain Federal 357 Magnum.

The 357 sig is like the 10mm, in that most people who badmouth them suddenly become converts when they actually try it.

Except that you can neck down 9x25 directly from 10mm cases. You cannot do this with 357sig from a 40 case. If you try to neck it down you will wind up with a case that is too short. Also then angle of the neck is different.

Webbing in the head of the 357 is thicker than the 40. Runs at 40k psi.

There is also 9mm Major, 125 grain bullet at 1350 FPS, 115 grain at 1425 FPS.
Powders used to load it are compressed loads and helps in preventing bullet set back. A bullet set back with a high pressure load will spell a catastrophic failure.

The 10mm is a cartridge that will put a smile on anyone face after they shoot it for the first time. Hot 10mm loads demand attention at any gun range, before you know it you have an audience, especially at night with the 6 foot fire balls.

I was going to post that picture here in this thread, that is still to this date the most beautiful Glock I've ever seen. I've occasionally stolen your photo (and given you credit, don't worry) to use an example when someone starts spouting off that glocks are nothing but ugly bricks. One of these days I'll get around to having a 4.25" stainless barrel made for mine too. I have my G29 on my carry permit as well
