I go to the range every other weekend and I burn through 300-500 rounds each visit. My first 9mm was a Beretta PX4. I enjoy shooting it, but wasn't impressed with the customization (or lack thereof) options.

Plut the Glock minus connector sights and glock ext slide release and mag release. Love my 22 just need to do the same to my 21 when it gets out of jail.

I am going to upgrade the sights for sure. Everyone seems to agree on that. I also ordered a Streetlight TLR-1s yesterday so I'll add that. As for grip, a few people have recommended stippling. I looked over some photos and reviews and honestly sometimes it appears people did a ****ty job. Anyone have any experience with stippling that can share their thoughts? I feel like talon rubberized grips would be way less aggressive.

I use a g4 g19 . I have no issues holding onto my gun. Maybe my hands aren't as sweaty as some others. Im not into putting stuff on a gun just because you can.

So are you using this for a home defense pistol now because of the light? It seems like most folks say not to use a pistol mounted light to use as your sole uluminating source. Especially witha no manual safety and lightened trigger. Hand held lights only.

I also have a tlr 1, i should probably sell it though as I dont use my g19 has a hime defense pistol and I do not use a light on my ccw g19.

You don't upgrade a service pistol.

You bought the right one, now just shoot it, a lot.

For home defense, night sights and/or a rail light are reasonable additions.

Yeah your glock just needs sights and a ton of ammo

I like the minus connector but shoot just fine without one.

No need for Salient, Zev, Agency, etc fancy triggers...it's trying to buy skill/compensate for poor fundamentals.

Don't stipple unless you are SURE you love/want to keep the gun and are SURE of your ability to actually stipple it. I recently redid my XD which was the first handgun I had ever purchased and I kind of feel like aesthetically and value wise I ruined it by stippling when it was new. Feels great though, and I shoot in the rain and have enjoyed the results even with my generally sweaty hands. If you really want to stipple and are unsure of yourself, I would definitely consider sending it to a "professional" but that can start to add up quick.

Personally, I was never a Glock guy, and hated the feel when I had to start carrying one for work. I put the TALON grip on there and it made a HUGE difference at the time. After about a year of carrying on the waist band in a dusty environment the back strap area started to peel off. I removed just that entire section and realized after being more familiar with the gun that I didn't really miss it. Recently I peeled off the rest and can't say I feel a terrible loss. The side panels of the grip are still a bit slippery but the majority of you grip pressure is going to be at the front and back of the grip where the serrations are. For my work gun, I am probably going to just leave it as is, but for my do-everything-else gun I will probably add a bit of texture just for a bit of purchase on it. My Glocks are both .40 too which makes little difference.

My recommendation for now would be to buy the TALON grip because it is cheap, effective, and should be durable enough for your intended purpose. Shoot it a while and then decide what you want.

Stippling doesn't have to be over done either or all the way around the grip. I literally just sat down and did this to my Glock 35 since my last post and am quite pleased with the outcome.
