    Sequential serial numbers

I have noticed that some sellers place a premium on their gun when they try to sell sequentially numbered ones. What's the big deal with owning or selling 2 identical guns with sequential serial numbers? I guess perceived value is subjective.

It's like dollar bill. If you have 2 sequential dollar bills it's worth 3 dollars.

No big deal. Some folks just like that sort of thing and are willing to pay more for it.

You hit the nail on the head exactly. Some people like having sequentials for spouse, kids, etc

Personally I am with you and don't see the big deal with sequentials but I do know people who will hapoily pay more for them

It just shows they were made on the same day by the same guy, so if the first one is flawed then the 2nd one is most likely flawed too. LOL!

I knew a fellow who was all proud and blustery that he and his dad had sequentially numbered Kimbers. If you take into consideration that the fellow was a useless twit then you'll understand how important it was to him. To me, it was another piece of trivia that got stuck in my brain and was going to supplant something important like where I left the checkbook.

Cool factor. Probably more desirable for rare or limited run, or commemorative type guns. But some ppl could care less regadless...

My wife got me two 1971 NRA Winchesters that are sequentially numbered.

Value hasn't increased hardly any because there were so many made, numbers or not.

Depends on the gun, what the seller wants, what the buyer's willing to pay. But nothing is guaranteed just because of the serial numbers.

Def depends on the gun. I know of a calgunner who paid an extra 300 on top of the Cali price for for 4 sequential VP9's because he wanted the set for his family

I got sequentially numbered Glock 17Ls. They not worth any more to me, but there is a certain novelty to it.

I'll take it if you have $4 bill that goes along with it.

Back to OP: I was like that when I was younger, costly! Glad I'm over it.

If the guns were low production number, limited edition collector's pieces, then it might be of nominal value (to some body) to have sequentially numbers examples . . . especially if they were very low numbers in the production run.

For me, meh, I couldn't care less about sequential SN's.
