Glock 17 80% Build - Complete Parts Kit

I purchased the Polymer 80 - Spectre, 80% Glock lower, and I have been looking for part kits. I have seen posts that list what parts are needed and estimated prices, but have not seen a complete kit anywhere. I found this company: http://shop.jsdsupply.com/80-Glock-C...-Kit-00026.htm that sells a complete kit for $460 that is for a Glock 17, 17L or 22. I emailed them to confirm that the kit is a Gen 3, 3 pin complete kit that can just drop in to the lower. They also told me the use genuine Glock parts and it comes with the standard 5.5lb trigger.

My question is, has anyone ever heard of this company and/or purchased from them? I know they go to gun shows in Costa Mesa, CA; PA; NV; and AZ, but before I buy from an unknown company I would like some feedback before I spend that much money with them.

    Thanks

Holy hell! Why so much for a kit? You can find a 17/22/34 used for that price or less. That's what I'd do. Buy a full gun, sell the frame for the same ~$250 that I see them going for, and you've got your kit for that much less than they want.

The price of not having a serial number is worth quite a bit to some folks.
Anyway...here's a dearth of reasoning to ponder: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Guns

You can find slides for sale on gunbroker and eBay. For everything else you can just pick your own after market parts. Keep us posted on your project!

Complete uppers, brand new are about $350. How much are the lower parts?

True. But all Glock slides and barrels are serialized.

$55 for a lower parts kit. So the link you posted is a little overpriced, unless they are providing something other than a complete upper and lower parts kit.

Serialized but not registered. There were some police trade in uppers that did not have a serial number on the slide. Not sure about the barrel.

                      Hello

                      Parts are genuine glock 17, 22 and 34 gen 3 - 3pin kits. I believe it's 5.5 lb trigger from the factory.

These parts will drop in after you complete your frame, or would drop in to a standard glock frame.

                      Hope this answers your questions.

                      Thanks
                      Jordan

I appreciate the replies and input, but has anyone heard of JSD Supplies? Bought anything from them?

I understand the price is fair, not great, and other issues/legalities that come with building your own fire arm, but from my standpoint it's just easier for me to buy everything at once. If its not a great company, I will just buy the parts piece mail.

Why don't you just buy actual Glock parts instead of buying a parts kit from some random company. Go to Glockstore etc, or I am missing something. Glock factory parts are readily available.

Don't you have to register any pistol built in California??? I believe last time I emailed DOJ about a pistol 80% build they were pretty firm on ANY pistol built would need a serial number and need to be registered. I also have the email from them on who can actually touch/ work on one(gunsmith level7 and up) if there's issues with firing. I'm with Germs1 and buy part as from glock to avoid issues on fitting and cycling...
