Other bonuses are like the OP's deal, where your group may throw recent info on 2-4 lgs within a decent driving radius where there are G19's just sitting in the case.

Lot's of eyes means not paying stupid markup.

Maybe jump on a 125 and decide after a handgun, you want a dirt bike or 4-wheeler to add to your shoot.

I hope all of those buyers stick to bargain basement Tula and leave decent ammo for the rest of us.

        Valentines day ran me $260.
        That's a little more than a decent case of 40 fmj's delivered.

What do you consider decent ammo in 9mm? I went to Walmart today to get my first box of 9mm and took a 100 count box of 115gr winchester. If I were to guess I would say the had 18+ box's of 100 rnd and a few 50 rnd in that kind.

Speer tmj's, Blazer Brass, various Euro brass cased ammo is consistent and about hollow point hot.

Steel or bimetal cased ammo, WWB, Freedom reloads, etc tend to be inconsistent or on the weak side. ie open up to 25yds and your groups open up off a rest. Switch mags from your Walmart plinking ammo and you notice a difference in felt recoil with self defence ammo as long as similar grain and not +p or +p+.

Several people gave me leads here and in pm's but I was not willing to a) drive to far and b) pay more than a certain amount for it. Most places that had one in stock were at least 50.00 or more than I was willing to pay and add having to drive 50 plus miles each way so it was not worth it and I was not desperate to get it.

The 50 bucks is no biggie as that is a few boxes of ammo.

The 50 plus miles I agree.

50 bucks is a big deal for some of us. Like you said its at least 4 boxes of ammo plus additional tax and the less of that I can pay the better regardless of how much it is. Plus that extra 50 also pays DROS witha little left for ammo or some accessories

                    I would reconsider the G19.

I agree with this. The LGS that I just bought one from last month never seemed to have them in stock a year or so ago. Seems like it's been hit or miss for quite a while.

Have you checked Markley's? Little bit of a drive for you but not outrageous. I picked one up there last month. The guy said they were selling them quick and only had 3 or 4 left at the time but when I got her out of jail there was still one under the glass. Might be worth a try.

Don't plan on throwing my glock into the river, VP9 can't get(at least not at a reasonable price), don't like the shield.

How does it work with them? I notice they show msrp, does the shop it gets sent to still make the price and do you have to pay a transfer fee?

I just took a look using my zip code and it says allocated for the G19, also shows msrp $599.

Every shop has their own pricing, when you put your zip code in for an item that is in stock it will give you however many dealers in your area there are and what their price is for the firearm. It will also list the fees each dealer has, then you simply accept which ever offer you want at what ever dealer you want. You Put a small down payment online to Davidson then the balance is due at the FFL. You choose

G19 and G17, probably most popular glock.
