For whatever the Blue Book means with regards to CA and Pythons, electroless nickel is known as "Satin Nickel" and brings a 35% premium. The 2 1/2" Python also brings more than the 4" & 6" versions. In 100% condition the BB lists the gun at $3,850.00. A 100% condition for me would mean including the box & paperwork and original grips. I don't think the grips are original to the gun.
I can't tell if the gun is Satin Nickel or polished stainless, it appears to me me to be polished stainless. The BB lists 2 1/2" stainless and highly polished stainless too. Colt lists serial numbers on their website, I would check there for info.Last edited by dfletcher; 01-30-2016, 1:48 PM.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

I'm also suspicious about the rubber grip not being Colt OEM. Can't say I've ever seen one with the grip screw head on the right side.Comment
