Use non ferrous things like brass wool - available at paint and hardware stores.

Scotchbrite in various abrasive levels works well too.

        Polish after removing oxidation.

        Go slow.

Nope, I looked closely but that's not the case.

I've never had an issue using 0000 steel wool saturated in oil to clean up rust on guns.

Don't press hard, just rub and let it do the work. It should come right off.

If you're paranoid about steel wool, try bronze wool first. It's less abrasive and may or may not work.

Wipe down with a good oil (MPro, Weaponshield, SLIP2000, Militec-1), put it in a silicone gun sock, and rack it in a safe with a golden rod heater.

              Works for my blued guns.

                OP,

Don't do this! I handled this Python. Some dude inherited this and wanted to make it a snub nose (not joking).

Every time I read threads like this? I pop open the safes and do a thorough looky loo. Betting I'm not the only one. Golden rod and wipe down after handling.

This is what happens in tragic boating accidents.
                    Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

                    Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)

That's a crime against humanity. If ever there was someone who shouldn't be allowed to own guns, it would be that moron.

Correct. Take a look at the trigger guard. It's obvious the bottom of the gun is rotated more towards the photographer than the original photo.

NEVER use ferrous items to work on stainless.

It WILL introduce oxidation on a grand scale.

Best way I know to destroy something stainless is to use something iron to clean it.

This is why I keep large desiccant bags in our safes. Not those jerky bag sized ones... ones that are the size of small burritos.

Is it your gun? If not I don't believe it. The angle is slightly different but not same gun. Serial numbers or it's a lie.
