    TAURUS PT145 PRO...WHAT'S THE SKINNY?

Looking at one. Heard about the recall, but seems doable for $300 and 4 mags. Fits my hand great. It's a 2012 model. PAX

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

i have a pt145 and a pt140 both pros and they dont have that safety problem. my are from 2009 or so production my neighbor has a newer one and it has the safety issue witch only comes into play if you activate the safety with the trigger squeezed back. so if you think thats a big problem you can check the weapon before you buy it by completely squeezing the trigger hold it back apply safety then release trigger when safety is on squeeze trigger if it fires thats what it was recalled for, if it doesnt drop the fireing pin its been fixed or never had the problem. i like both of mine the pt145 is very nice never a problem. 300.00 dollars and 4 mags seems to be a good price i wouldnt sell mine for that

I have one. A nice gun and a great way to carry 10+1 of .45. That's a good price.

EDIT: I didn't know about the recall until this thread. You can find out more about it by Googling PT145 recall. Entering the gun's serial number below may help. I'll enter mine later when I get home:

I contacted Taurus. They said there is not a recall, only a proposed class action suit. With the at said, they gave me this url: https://www.tauruscartersettlement.com

I'll probably opt for the enhanced warranty when I learn more.

EDIT: The lifetime warranty stays with the gun so it will be transferred to you if that's a concern.

Anecdotally, in the '80s my Taurus PT-92 AF slide lock crosspin snapped in half while firing.
