    Update. 3/1/16

I took out my 97B for the first time this weekend since I first posted this.

So I brought along some freedom munitions ammo and the Fiocchi from last time. Loaded up my two mags with freedom munitions and out of 10 rounds 2 or so would be failure to feed. The Fiocchi ammo maybe 3 or 4. This is very frustrating! My 75B SP-01 runs flawless! Have some Blazer ammo but did not bring it with me.

So not sure if it is still the ammo (can anyone who owns a 97B recommend know good ammo)? Side note, this was the display model at ammo bros.

Anyway, I think at this point a call to CZ might be in order unless someone has other suggestions?

    TIA

Did you end up changing the profile of your slide stop and polishing the feed ramp?

No to both. The feed ramp is clean but I didn't know I need to polish it. I have a dremal and polishing wheel if this is what you recommend?

Due to the limited amount of time these two mods take i would try them before you ship your pistol off.

CAGLS Provided a few good picture earlyer in this thread that illistrate the slide stop mod.

The feed ramp polishing is rather straight forward.

Here is another reference picture for the slide stop mod.

hmm, I didnt seem to have an issue with my 97b and fiocchi at all. When I first got it, I lubed up the slides, polished the feed ramps and racked it a few hundred times before my first range trip, and it ate up everything I gave it, Fiocchi, federal, blazer brass, etc

Thanks! Not sure how I missed post #35. Yeah, the slide stop protrudes pretty far into the path of the bullet. I'll try this.

My new cz 75 b had frequent FTFs with two types of ammo. CZ USA attempted to repair it once, but it diidn't fix anything. So they are replacing the gun now, but I have to pay DROS... very frustrating. If the second gun will not be reliable, that's going to put dent in brand's image in my eyes.

Sell immediately and buy Glock. This should have been done in the first place.

I bought 1911 and this thing is reliable as a hummer.

I do not like plastic guns, sorry.

Unfortunately, my brother tossed away the box before I could save it. I'm gonna' scrounge up some money and try to get another hundred rounds (of quality ammo) and see what happens.

Besides the problems (which are probably the ammo) the gun is great. It is very accurate; I was able to keyhole my shots. I shoot better with the 97B than I do with the 75B. My brother shot better as well.
Maybe you should look up keyholing, it is not a good thing.

I love glocks and shoot them well. Don't have any problems with them either.

My 97b doesn't have any problems with freedom munitions 230gn new hollow points or round nose.

OP I doubt you have a ammo problem.

Modify the slide stop will fix the problem.

Be careful not to take any material of the bottom, where the slide stop contacts the magazine follower.

I apologize for the large pics, I haven't figured out how to shrink them yet.

Thanks. I'm going to have some questions once I get home and check it out further.

Buy a better gun, like a Glock.
